onto year two
It's been one year, but it feels like EIGHTY FOUR. Or at the very least like three long years. At least there are elections this year, so it feels like there are concrete goals to work toward, rather than just screaming in outrage endlessly, hopelessly.
Sometimes I feel like a real live functioning adult, and other times I really feel like I've checked out of it all and am just coasting through the week. I'll admit, a lot of that has to do with this new work schedule. I always get tired at midnight.
I want to get more into cooking and reading and less into the internet. But when my work requires me to keep up to date with Twitter and Facebook/Reddit is an easy way to pass time at work (as opposed to a physical book), it's harder to avoid. This is why I've been moving toward ebooks so I can read them at work during down periods.
And sports I follow mostly by scoring updates now, since we got rid of cable. Trim down your life, I guess.
