sports treating me well for now

Had a brief trip back to DC that was amazing, with great weather, great food, and a great time seeing friends. And in other news, it baffles but pleases me that the Carolina Panthers are 7-0, UNC football is 7-1 (inconceivable!), and UNC basketball is ranked #1 preseason. I am in half agony, half hope, because sports is the worst thing to trust your emotions to. Yet one day, some day, Canes... And, well, Liverpool is middling, but new manager and a decisive win over Chelsea! I'll take it.

Writing up a books post for the month of October because I traded in a social life for reading last month, apparently. Read about as much last month as I did in June-Sept, because I hit my stride with a few Regencies. Slowing down this month, especially with a lot of upcoming travel, but a lot of stuff to look forward to still.
