anniversary

It's officially one year since I moved to Texas! It's been a big adjustment and somewhat of an adventure; we live and we learn.

In this time I've:
-gotten a cat!
-kept my job but grown unhappier with it
-had really good sushi
-met Courtz
-read a lot of books and made great use of my public library
-cooked a lot, cleaned a lot
-made new friends!
-had good barbecue
-visited the Gulf Coast
-visited New Orleans!
-been to the Houston symphony three times (Holiday Pops, Lunar New Year, Disney in Concert)
-gotten engaged, started planning a wedding
-had friends visit us at our apartment
-enjoyed Hermann Park
-caught up on the entirety of One Piece
-not shoveled any snow whatsoever
-dealt with Houston flooding at least four times this year (thankfully our apartment complex has been fine)
-watched the Panthers lose, and UNC lose, and Liverpool lose, and the Blues lose /full of sadness over sports
-missed DC
-visited DC
-visited Singapore!
-continued having feelings for Jesse Eisenberg
-saw Big Bang in LA with friends!
-rewatched Gen Kill, watched Cowboy Bebop, halfway through Trigun
-purchased real adult non-IKEA furniture (and paid it off)
-discovered an adorable Spanish boy band
-was sad about a lot of news, and angry about a lot of news
-kept on keeping on

And so we continue. To another year!
