China was a long two-week nightmare interspersed with moments of light. In summary, an obligatory family trip, and I'm glad it was done and I'm glad it is now over with. Prolonged sustained time with family is always bad for my mental health. But on the bright side, did get to see some cool things, eat a lot of good food, see my grandma and play mahjong, connect more with my brother... We have a ten-year visa to China, so next time we'll go back and do our own touristy thing.

Went immediately back to work the day after returning to China because we had a major program so I helped execute all the last minute details of that. Reception, film screening, panel, then dinner with the speakers afterward and I didn't get home til 11:30. Took a half day that Friday to make up for it. My supervisor is now on her two week vacation, and our major programming is over so I'll get a few slower weeks to focus on summer camps.

Watched Amazon's "Good Omens" miniseries and also reread the book! Good times all around. Next up: Persuasion, I think. And watching Ali Wong & Randall Park's Netflix romcom, "Always Be My Maybe". Spent this weekend really tired, but did manage to get some things done (picked up stuff from Target, cleaned the apartment, uploaded China photos, made dinner, etc.) so at least I don't feel too bad about it. Is it jetlag or just recovering from all the traveling + intense days of work as soon as I got back? Who knows. Need to get back into routine, and also slot in time to exercise.

Happy June!
