let's get this QMi show on the road

A call to arms, my (QMi-shipping) friends!

darleenk and I got to talking about how fandom seems (to our knowledge) to be lacking in a QMi primer. Where do we point people when they ask us what's so great about QMi? What do we say when they ask why we ship them? Where do we even start?

Considering the sheer magnitude of QMi interaction and QMi love, we thought we could make it a group effort. :D We're hoping to compile all our contributions in this one post and then have all the material sorted and organized for the Ultimate QMi Primer™. Which will be totally bitchin' because of (1) how awesome our ship is and (2) how awesome the people working together are. ♥ So here is the:

The QMI Primer

We were thinking tentatively of organizing it in the following format:

• about them


• timeline of the love story (month by month?)


• videos / translations


• pictures


• gifs


• fanworks: fanvids, fic recs

So we'd need any and all help in finding (and dating) videos and lots and lots of pictures/gifs. Dating to at least a specific show or month would help us in the ~epic timeline of their love~.

Any translations you have or can find would be great too. :D

And please leave your favorite fanvid and fic recs too! We won't be able to include everything, since the QMi fandom is (awesomely) large and prolific, but we'd like as many recs as possible so we can parse through them and put up some of the best out there for introducing fans to the ship!

Also, any ultra-talented graphics makers who'd like to help pretty up the primer would have love poured upon her.

So please, please, darleenk and I would hugely appreciate all your help! This is a fandom project, since it's a huge undertaking, and we would love it if everyone got involved and held hands and sang Kumbaya to show our support in this time of need. ♥

Any suggestions on how to make the primer even more epic would definitely not be turned away. :)

We think it'd be most efficient if people were focused on specific areas such as, for example, pictures. You/your team would focus on going through the links on this post and picking out what you think are the best Qmi pics, most reflective and representative of their ~true love~. Estimated quantity will be edited into the post later (e.g., approximately 20 videos needed) once we've decided on what might be reasonable (please share your input!). Once you've finalized those pics or gifs or videos or what-have-you that you want to have in the primer, we'll work out how to upload them onto the webspace generously donated by evaporate so that they will always be accessible and visible on our primer. :D
