Completely unrelated, I was watching Top Chef Masters last night and it always, always, makes me hungry! I got the worst craving for corned beef hash and went on an internet hunt for a local place that sells it. I'm also craving spinach artichoke dip and ribeye steak and sweet potato fries and-- Ooh, I want to make fresh guacamole. FOOD. I've been cooking a lot lately, because my mom's in China on business, my dad works all day, and I'm at home uselessly bemoaning the job search. Sadly, it's gotten to the point of being a daily commonplace thing to do that I no longer bother with photos, because it's no longer an event. So I bring no pics, alas.

You'll notice all the stuff I'm craving is non-Asian and fatty, ahaha. It's the stuff we're least likely to have at home and I miss it. Oooh, I just remembered I didn't get my reuben while I was in NYC, either! Pooh.

I WANT TO WRITE BUT I HATE WRITING UGH. I really need to kick start myself into writing something, though. Anything. Instead, I think I'll go rewatch Howl's Moving Castle or read something. A lot of somethings.

Yay, Howl's Moving Castle. Though I'm a bigger fan of the book.

How are you?

I love the book too! They're actually quite different, aren't they?

I'm pretty good. Watching Top Chef actually, haha. Mmm food shows.

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLEEEEE, I love it a lot. I even love the book and movie about equally, which is unusual, given that the two versions are so different.

Good luck with the job search! I don't suppose there are places you interned during summers between law school that might want you back fulltime or something?

Also, you crave all the same things I crave. I MISS AMERICA. T_____T

I'm the same way - I love both book and movie, for all that they are fairly different. One of the few, since generally I get grumpy about movie remakes of books.

Sadly, the places I interned during summers are not seeking anything full-time, alas, alas. But I'm still doing research for an NGO atm, so at least I'm doing something productive amid the blah of job searching.

Hopefully you can find some Western restaurants around where you are? Not the same, of course, but... :(
