hockey every night is exciting, but I'm old

I live for Stanley Cup playoffs but my reaction to OT (and life in general, let's be honest) these days:



I am rooting for the Blues because of my St. Louis ties (I'm going there this weekend! Both teams will be in town! DAVID BACKES, YOU WANT TO EAT SUSHI WITH ME, Y/Y?) so I understand if you hate me and can't look at me for a while, and backing Philly in the Eastern conference because I have doubts they'll make it out of Round 1. But Giroux. Maybe best for my sanity to avoid all hockey fandom interaction until the playoffs are over, because sports inspires such impressive levels of ill will and hate, hah.

Also I keep forgetting Danny Briere's with the Habs now, doing his playoff thing. Ugh, Danny.

Something here about real life and books and work we can pretend I went into fascinating detail about.

I was watching the Habs-Lightning game and then OT happened AND THEN DANNY BRIERE HAPPENED AND I WAS LIKE OH YEAH. Mr. Playoffs! Ugh doing it for the wrong team. :( /goes to reread angsty Brioux fic hahaha

ugh i was really upset last night, but then i'd just finished watching the brewers get flattened by the pirates, so u_u

yesterday was just a terrible sports day for me in general u__u

on the upside! real madrid beat barca in spectacular fashion to win the copa del rey final, so at least one of my teams is doing well /sigh

ahhh, well the Brewers went on to win some out of their series against the Pirates! (Fuck Pittsburgh, always.)

augh I can't even talk about hockey because playoff hockey makes me really emotional/angry hahaha. Let's just avoid the topic. u___u

BUT YES. I was watching the Copa del Rey final and it was exciting ESPECIALLY BECAUSE REAL MADRID WON, FUCK YOU BARCELONA. (And Liverpool is doing well :D :D)
