Regardless, you should all watch this episode cut of Change even though the show replaced EHB, if only because there is KangTeuk, the airing of random dirty SuJu secrets, and because it's so conveniently subbed.)
I honestly don't have too much to say about Super Junior's Super Show other than that OH MY GOD HEECHUL CRIED and also Henry's not dead! Even if ELF continues to suck, omgstfu.
Other than that: I totally wish I were there, the stage is freaking gigantic, I hate fancams, there is so much crying omg, TEUKIE'S ANGEL WINGS, they all look like they're having so much fun, I should watch the other performance clips but I do hate fancams, I like Heechul, Hankyung, and Sungmin's hair, but Teukie and Hae still need haircuts, I love these boys, I love these boys, (I'm a totally spastic fangirl, but it's okay), I love these boys.
Also, where will they be the first week of June when I'm in Korea?

reaction: This fic is incredibly sweet, touching, and funny at the same time. It's Henry-centric which makes it automatically awesome in my book, but the author goes on to incorporate the rest of the characters in unforgettable ways. Their personalities are all so distinct and so endearing, just like in real life. The different defintions of love all rang true to some extent, were all touching, and yes I totally teared up at this fic. But it was interrupted with bouts of laughter, especially at Heechul, who is the most amazing faux-MC ever to an imaginary-talk show.

reaction: This was in reaction to EHB9 feat. DBSK and it--pinged me in so many ways. It hurts, because I have the biggest soft spot in the world for Teukie, but also because I understand where insecurities like that come from. They're human, innate, and yet they aren't the same in everyone--someone like Teukie feels them more than others. Always comparing yourself and always finding yourself lacking--how would it feel? This fic made me cry (surprise, surprise), but I adore it because it has some beautiful introspection on the different but equally important group dynamics of SuJu and DBSK. It has beautiful descriptions of Teuk's role as leader, as umma. The ending is absolutely precious and (I will take the risk of presuming) true. Take care of yourself, Leadersshi. ♥

reaction: This is cute and funny and I love Heechul. Wait, have we heard this one before? I think fandom has more or less come to a consensus that Heechul lives in his own world of denial a lot, which comes across in so many fics, but in so many different, awesome ways. ShiChul is so cuuute. I love Heechul's justifications to himself. :)

reaction: This is super, super adorable. There are no emoticons or words to fully express how much I love how cute this fic is. It's entirely sweet without the sappy factor, and cheesy but only in the way that friends laugh together at something that they all acknowledge is lame (like Teukie's puns). This fic is lighthearted and warm and sunny, full of comfortable touches and dimpled smiles, full of snuggling and good-natured annoyance. This fic is the perfect feel-good KangTeuk. (And the pun/joke was really that lame, haha.)

reaction: More KiHae always makes me cheer, and when it turns out to be as well-written as this fic, I'm super pleased. I really like the opening paragraphs because they had such lovely, key, (and I feel) refreshing descriptions. The overall fic was just a short two scenes but they worked together, and the ending is just a bit of "aww".

reaction: I laughed and laughed and laughed, hysterically, out loud, to the point of practically falling out of my chair at times. This fic is seriously that funny, I promise you. I don't think I will ever tire of the excuse to abuse poor!clueless!Henry with SuJu antics. Since this is New Year's Eve, it's drunken SuJu antics, which is even better. Plus Big Bang references! This is crack gold; if you're looking for a fic to make you laugh, you've hit the jackpot.

reaction: I love crackfics, especially well-written crackfics. They're made 10x better when they feature an awesome Heechul because I love him so much. This fic was so much fun to read, because it wasn't all just cracky in-jokes. The ending was sappy but acceptable because we all know my soft spot for KangTeuk and SuJu OT13 (and occasionally OT14!). I am willing to put up with fluff and sap for them, because they deserve happiness at least in the fic, heh. Aww, babies, ilu all.

Donghae wanted to talk and exist properly and Heechul got all in it and it just grew. …Trying to get twelve boys on a plane has to be stressful for Eeteuk. And this, I imagine, would be why.
reaction: AS much of a fandom stereotype/trope it is, I find that I can't resist cute!spastic!Donghae. I adore him to pieces, even if he bears little resemblance to the Hae of RL (who is cute and spastic too, sure, but also too fscking sexy for word sometimes). This was a really cute gen with large!SuJu!family interaction that provides laughs and chaos and is thus generally awesome all around.

reaction: I just reread this drabble for the third or fourth time and only now just realized that, wow, hi, it's in first person. It just flowed so smoothly the first few times I read it that it didn't register in my mind as something to pay attention to. I don't usually like first person, especially in fandom fics (though I've grown to accept second-person to an extent), but this drabble does an incredible job with it. I actually like this more the more I read it, and I already liked it plenty the first time around. There's just something that rings so true for me, as if it could be reality, with the easy and familiar skinship that might or might not mean something else, and all the words that haven't been said (but do they have to be said?). The ending also stayed with me a long time because it's not a topic frequently brought into KT fics...you'll see what I mean when you read it. I really wish it weren't so short, but like I said in my comment, it's almost appropriate as an unfinished scene from life.

reaction: Be sure to watch the clip they link as inspiration for the fic; everything will make more sense then. Either way, this fic was put up on a day I was having a kind of miserable existence and had also been bemoaning the lack of good KT fic and KT smut. These two delivered and, lord, so well. The UST they built up through the prep and through the performance led to an even more frantic and enjoyable climax (both literary and literal, heh). I hope they write more KangTeuk. I always hope people write more good KangTeuk.

reaction: I love Mafia!AUs, what can I say? I like the way this girl writes so I'm eager to see more--nothing's been forthcoming as of yet, but the anticipation is there. It sounds like so much fun, especially because I'm always happy for more KiHae in the world. Plus Kibum is just amazing in this prologue.

reaction: You don't need to read the first fic to understand this one (but you shoud because it's good KT). This is short and cute and lighthearted, which is what I'm looking for more and more in my KangTeuk. I always love seeing the wide array of member reaction to anything, but to KT is especially nice. Donghae in particular, oh bb. ::smirky::

reaction: A short insight into Heechul's mind as he shops, pretending to be someone else. It's different from a lot of fics, and I'm not sure exactly how to describe it. Hey, let's just c&p my comment to the fic: This is a brilliant take on the theme (i.e. "replacement"). I'm very impressed and I like this very much. It hits home with me--a little painful in the realities of being a celebrity (and how it's not all it's cracked up to be), but in a way only good writing can. Very thoughtful and, well, I love Heechul. That helps a lot. ♥

reaction: This was the fic that cemented for me the belief that I had actually discovered an OT3 I could support with no qualms. I might have a softer spot for HanChul (or at least their friendship), but I could just as happily ship ShiHan as ShiChul as HanChul. I love these three silly boys like crazy and this fic is a beautiful portrayal of the ShiChul relationship slowly expanding to include Hannie. Except in this fic there is sex (YEAH BABY). I really liked Hankyung's sense of oddness, of disbelief, of a kind of surrealism. I loved predatory!Heechul, ohhh yes, because Rella should get everything he wants. I loved Siwon's hesitance until he looks at Heechul and then all of a sudden, everything is okay. This is a very good stylistic fic. Also: it's hot.

reaction: alskjflskf. This fic makes me so incredibly happy, I don't think I have the words to describe it. I adore Donghae and I'm a firm believer in her tag "everyone loves donghae". You know everyone does, and throw in a little bit of smut into that big orgy of love and you get something fantastic like this. The not-so-ninja!KangTeuk made me squee, but I think the TeukHae actually drowned that out. Omg, TeukHae, why does no one write you? And there was CinHae, which made my heart do flips of glee. The world needs so much more CinHae. Hell, the world needs more blowjobs by Hae. I love the different scenarios, the different way Donghae approaches each member, the easy, casual confidence with which he gets it on, ahaha. Oh god, this fic induces so much happiness in me. (Also? Way to totally pwn the world, Sungmin!)

reaction: Heechul isn't too good with words but Kangin wishes he could be. This struck a chord with me because as funny and witty as Heechul is on game shows--he's not so at ease with phrases of endearment or expressions of care. He'd rather tease and prank Hyukjae for example than tell him what a good kid he is and how much Heechul actually likes him. But, er, back to the fic: this characterization of Heechul really worked for me because I could see the basis of it in reality. But the fic's not nearly so weighted with meta; it's plain hilarious. KangChul always is because these are the two big mouths, the two big wits of SuJu. I love them both like crazy.

I usually hate linking to locked posts because I think it's supremely rude and stupid, but this fic was just the right amount of hot and fun that I think you should make the effor to read it anyway. I love IM-fic (why isn't there more IM-fic?) and this one was written particularly well (I noticed how punctuation disappeared after the wanking began; props!). Plus it's KangTeuk and thus hotter than average to me, because I'm biased.

His case of jealousy here is on Henry because Henry spends too much time with Heechul's Hankyung and Heechul isn't having any of that. Well, he might be, because he has to, but he doesn't have to like it. Heechul has some memorably snarky lines in here and the ending is very adorable. Also, I love fics with Henry. So much feel-good smile-inducing things in this fic. (Like beleaguered!Teukie with ninja!KangTeuk

reaction: Kind of an old rec. Such a good fic by such a good author that most people have already read this, but if you haven't--please do. Please don't let the pairing turn you off, like I let it do for me for a few months. This fic is...incredible. It's incredible with characterization, with description, with tying everything together. I can't even find coherent words to express the admiration I have for this piece of writing because it's truly a well-written story, from beginning to end. It's a painful piece to read but it's not all Epic Angst--there's a cause and, more importantly, there's healing. The ending is one of the most beautiful endings I've read, especially in conjunction with such a beautiful fic overall. I am utterly in love with the relationships between KangTeuk and KangTeukChul, romantic or platonic. This fic is a work of art: please read it.

reaction: THIS IS WHAT I CALL HER GUNDAM WING AU. It's not, obviously, but it's set in future/space and it makes me roll in happy memories of my best GW days. Except now with added hot Korean boys! Lots of war and politics and future technology going on, which makes me happy, because the thought that goes into creating a new world is fascinating and fun. Sort of a dark fic, but all kinds of awesome anyway. It will make you want more, gah. I feel like so many fics I'm reccing now do that.

reaction: ...it was really embarrassing to read this fic in public and start crying all over myself. This is a powerfully descriptive, deeply poignant fic with waves of symbolism and imagery that are not actually as complicated as you might think. I think it's fairly simple to understand on a reread, but that doesn't detract from the wealth of emotion this fic embodies and can draw from you. This is a painful but beautiful fic, and I think you should all read it just for the sheer poetry (oh yes, I used that word) of the storytelling. (The song lyrics are fitting too, and usually I hate songfics.) Plus, ShiHae. ♥ Oh, bewarned though, it has themes of death, though not quite in the way you're probably imagining.

reaction: I fuckin' love AUs. Didn't know it 'til SuJu knocked me out with all of these awesome ones. Picture our SuJu boys in Don't Don outfits and hair with guns and swords and all manner of badass attitude. I think it's hot. Beyond the hot, however, it is most definitely the plot that drives this fic. You're hooked from the beginning and the tension slowly builds more and more as the fic progresses, like a good story should. There are momentary respites of absolutely fascinating backstories and other indulgences in a bit of shipping (glee, so much glee), but it is definitely a plot-driven story. Leeteuk is the leader, of course, but he's not exactly the same one we know--come meet his family too, a little more hardcore than you remember. Learn their histories. Learn their relationship dynamics. Learn their cause and what they're fighting against on the streets and in the city. Learn what--or who--is threatening one of them, who is bringing upon itself the fury of twelve others. Learn of the plots and promises broken and fall completely into this world, and love it.
I want more. ::coughs and looks at certain members of the flist:: I believe someone promised one-shots?

summary: The City lies in restless slumber, in exhaustion and defeat. Its streets are scarred and winding, lonely roads that lead to nowhere, around buildings that glitter and crumble in the same instant. The City has a name, but it's not worth remembering. The City sleeps, but on some nights...it wakes up.
reaction: I absolutely nothing against fandom clichés or stereotypes when they are written well. In fact, I probably enjoy those clichés and stereotypes even more than I would something abstract and artsy, so long as they're written well. Vampire!AU? I'm totally in. (Because I know I can trust the authors to do it well. And, boy, did they. Talk about blowing all expectations out of the water. ♥)
It's about plot and characterization but it's about, even beyond all that, the details. I say it every time I leave a comment, I think, but the wealth of descriptive details is what makes the 'verse for me. It makes the world rich and believable: real. It makes this the home of these characters, these characters who've grown on their own, who've become familiar and dear. I am so impressed with their handling of the characterizations, keeping them mostly familiar but balancing that with the weight of a different vampire world. Just--I am never totally coherent about this fic. It's epic and incredible and absolutely ten times worth the read you might think. Give it a shot, if you haven't.

Super Show was SuJu's first concert and it was just this past weekend. Anything beyond that I don't know, but I really hope there's a DVD because I hate fancams. (But you should go watch the subbed clip of Change. It's so funny.)

I don't really like fancams much either. And now, after watching them, I'm badly torn between loving everything that happened on stage and hating every single E.L.F. chanter. It makes me want to cry when they don't actually give a crap about who Henry is or what he does but simply treat him like... like that. There aren't even proper words to describe the E.L.F. behaviour right now. (Er, rant? Sorry for that too.)

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of ELF after what they did to Henry. And I'm biased so I can say I'm not a big fan of their singing (of Marry U) either, haha. But I'm sure it was touching to the members. Doesn't do anything for me though.

I don't know if their tour schedule for the rest of Asia is set yet. I've seen rumors but they kind of appall me because it puts them in Singapore when I'm in Korea. I hope that's not the case. Have you found something confirmed yet?
