[meme] showing off my current fandom
Fandom Meme stolen from

Um, because I'm going to be sporadically present and absent in the next few weeks. Thanks, finals.
ABOUT YOU / YOUR JOURNAL
01. What is your LiveJournal username? How did you come up with it?
meitachi. This was a spontaneous brainchild from years ago; I honestly don't remember where first used it. Possibly FictionAlley. It was a weird combination of my name and something I thought was vaugely Japanese sounding; to my horror, people have asked, now that Naruto is popular, if it has anything to do with a mad crush on Itachi. No, you guys. Not even close.
02. Have you renamed before? If so, what were your old names? If you haven't renamed, what names would you want to rename to?
I've renamed myself from Ryuuza on FF.N to meitachi everywhere else, but I haven't renamed on LJ. I've thought about it, but I don't think I will.
03. How much does your userinfo say about you?
It gives a fair amount of info, mostly fandom related. You get to know that I'm female, 20, and Chinese though.
04. How long have you been on LiveJournal?
Since September of 2004. Didn't have to get a code but it was back when we still had basic accounts (hah) and they only came with 3 userpics.
05. What is the longest amount of time you've gone without posting?
About three weeks, I think. I've done my fair share of hiatuses and there was that trip to China... I keep it down to two weeks now, to maintain membership in
iheartcinema. ;D
06. On average, how many entries do you post per day? (Divide how many total entries you have by how many days you've been on LJ.)
Um...0.398. I don't post daily on this journal.
07. What are your posts normally about?
Fandom. That's what this journal's for!
08. Is your LiveJournal friends only? Why or why not?
No, but it used to be? It started out public, then my parents and youth pastor found it (wow, the drama, long story), and so it got locked for a little over two years. I made it public again this past June because friending everyone back is a pain, and I thought it better to lock my RL journal since some sorority girls found that (oh, more drama). I endeavor to keep the two fairly separate, except when fandom friends want to get to know me better as a person. :)
09. Does your LiveJournal have an actual title or are you merely USER @ LiveJournal?
The title changes whenever I change my layout, which is every few months or so (maybe once or twice a year). Currently, it's "but i love U" to relate to both Big Bang (But I Love U) and SuJu (U). Ahaha, I'm clever, I know.
10. How long do you see yourself staying on LiveJournal?
A long time, probably, unless their stupid new policies affect me personally. I like the fandom environment here and just the way comments function.
ABOUT YOUR FRIENDSLIST
01. How many people are on your friendslist, not counting private journals, media journals, etc?
Something like 152.
02. Why do you choose to add a person to your friendslist?
If I know them through RL or fandom experiences and they seem friendly and at least marginally intelligent.
03. Is your friendslist an actual list of people you consider friends, or more of a reading list?
With that many people? It's a little of both.
04. How often do you read your friendslist?
When not on hiatus, at least two or three times a day (depending on my school/work schedule).
05. Do you use filters when viewing your friendslist?
Rarely, but I do. I have an "Extended Family" filter that lets me read only the journals of people I'm actually close to/actually care about what's happened during their day.
06. How much do you talk to people on your friendslist off of LiveJournal?
A significant few I talk to quite a bit off LJ, via IM or email or phone calls or FB or even meetings IRL. But that's a significant few, like I said.
07. Do you do friendscuts? Why or why not?
I've done a few. Haven't recently, since that big one last year where I cut over half my flist and made the journal public.
08. Do you regularly participate in friending memes? If not, how do you normally find people to friend?
Never. I friend people whose writings I admire or whom I've interacted with a lot on LJ and also like.
09. How often do you add new friends to your friendslist?
Not that often; more frequently when I'm adjusting to a new fandom and finding people in that fandom to talk to. (Hello, SuJu fans! :D)
10. Do your friends have to have things in common with you?
Fandom friends, absolutely. RL friends? I will love you anyway.
ABOUT YOUR ICONS / USERPICS
01. How many userpics do you get maximum? How many of those slots do you actually use?
62/106.
02. Do you mostly use icons made by yourself or by others?
Mostly others. I'm lazing as hell about making my own icons with rare exceptions.
03. Do you have your own icon community? How often do you post in it?
Psh, no.
04. What fandoms are most frequently seen in your userpics?
Um, I used to have a careful balance of all my fandoms (seriously, painstakingly so). Now it's heavily dominated by SuJu, like a lot. Who needs dignity as a Kpop fangirl, right?
05. How do you find icons to use?
I stalk icon comms or steal one I find particularly awesome when I come across someone using it. :Db
06. How often do you upload new icons to use in your userpics?
Whenever I'm bored, I switch my icons out. I upload new ones when I realize I don't have one appropriate for a certain situation or emotion. Also, I get new icons when shiny new things happen (e.g., EHB or SJM) that warrant having a tribute icon or two (or four, whatever).
07. Which of your userpics do you use the most?
Currently:

Sujuman is everywhere because of recent awesomeness, of course. I use Kanginface for posting fics to Miracle. And Hannie!love is used to express ♥ for everyone, appropriate ALL THE TIME.
08. Which of your userpics do you like the most?
Currently:

Because Hae is indescribably hot. Because this is my "inappropriate response" icon, apropos to everything. Because Heechul is awesome and this super cute and flirty, idek.
09. The old minimum number of userpics was three. Could you see yourself "surviving" on three userpics now?
Yeah, no problem. ::shrug:: I'd hate it but I could do it.
10. What do your userpics say about you?
That SuJu owns my soul and also that I love funny/snarky icons as well as pretty ones.
ABOUT YOUR FANDOMS
01. How many fandom communities are you a part of?
I'm in 40 (not all are fandom, though, and discounting my own writing journal) and watch 26.
02. Do you join fanfic or icon communities or only the general communities?
General comms unless they restrict fic/icons, like
super_junior, in which case I join
miracle______ and stalk
sujuites in my own spare time.
03. How many fandom communities do you moderate?
Three. I don't really care about any of them right now. D: (Two are mostly dead because the movies are over, over, over.)
04. How often do you check fandom communities for new posts?
Whenever I check my flist; and sometimes I stalk Miracle a little more because it's not on my flist.
05. Do you contribute to fandom? If so, by way of what?
I write, I fangirl, I comment, I flail, I meta, etc. (I draw or icon about once in a blue moon.) And apparently now I also translate things from Chinese, freakin' awesome. I feel useful!
06. Which fandoms are you most active in?
I'm definitely most active in SuJu, though still slightly active in Hikaru no Go and, if you stretch the definition of active to include reading fics and watching videos, DBSK and Harry Potter. But not really, haha. Those are very passive activities.
07. What do your choice of fandoms say about you?
That I'm easy for the pretty and gay Kpop? ::dies:: Pretty Asian boys top me, goddamn. Who needs self-respect?
08. Do you make friends based on fandom?
Usually.
09. Have you ever read (or been featured on) fandom_wank?
I read it and laugh. (I'm so proud of SuJu for being featured twice though! In a sick and horribly disgusted way.)
10. What is one thing you wish you could change about fandom?
Less stupid would be nice.
I have so many posts I want to make regarding meta (on RPF/RPS, writing SuJu AUs, writing smut) and recs (sooo many YouTube and fic recs alkdjladead). But life. It disagrees with me. :(
Um, because I'm going to be sporadically present and absent in the next few weeks. Thanks, finals.

To my horror, people have asked, now that Naruto is popular, if it has anything to do with a mad crush on Itachi. Haha, to be honest, when I first read meitachi, I thought it had something to do with Itachi or Bleach (because tachi is almost like taichou except not really...). XD;
That I'm easy for the pretty and gay Kpop? And to think that I used to never be interested in Kpop...
Good luck with finals! ♥

Oh finals! I don't want to think about them just yet. First I have to get papers written. And then more papers. ::dies:: But thank you. ♥

Don't know how people related Itachi and meitachi together. I was more running along the lins of Mei-tachi, more because of my anime background.
OMG! YOU'RE RYUUZA FROM FF.NET? 8D YOU WROTE FUJIRYOMA~! I think I remember reading some of your fics back in those PoT days when it owned my life. Hehehe.
Um, I used to have a careful balance of all my fandoms (seriously, painstakingly so). Now it's heavily dominated by SuJu, like a lot. Who needs dignity as a Kpop fangirl, right?
Agreed.
