"You should just forget about it," Kyuhyun says with a shrug. "Do what comes naturally."
"You mean, just be naturally gay?" Henry questions in Chinese and then repeats it in Korean and English.
Kyuhyun shrugs again. "Gay is popular." And he repeats it in Chinese as well, but screws up the English so that it sounds something like "Gay with popsicles." Henry doesn't bother to correct him.
And also the ending line is killer and brilliant. Love this fic. ♥

reaction: Hilariously cute, because I love me a mischievous Donghae. (Or, you know, any kind of Donghae.) Very funny especially because it's true that SJM wore the same outfit for weeks on end and, ugh, I am so happy they finally changed! Though I wish they'd changed into something with...less coverage, lol. Well, you can't have it all. P.S. Religious!Siwon will never get old, ever. (I'm also not reccing the second ficlet but you should also read it because it's also adorable. Donghae is a tad...too cutesy for me to love it unconditionally, but my weak spot and gigantic bias for him got over it. Oh Hae.)

reaction: This fic completely broke me to the point where I couldn't leave Kendra the comment she deserved. And I probably still can't give it the rec it deserves, but I'm going to try.
This fic is about SJM and it is about Heechul. This is about the dynamic and relationship and bond that Heechul shares with Hankyung and Siwon (and Donghae). It's about missing people (Heechul) and changing the role you play (ShiHan is the new KangTeuk, Hankyung is the new leader) and adapting to new dynamics (Chinese no longer belongs to just you and him). It's about friendship and dependency and figuring out when to let go and when to hang on. It's about finding comfort in strange new places, about memories, about new people to love and about never forgetting the people you already love. It's about doubt, insecurities, faith, reassurance. It's about life.
I cried all over this fic. I think this is honestly more gen than anything else. My heart broke for everyone, but Heechul and Leeteuk especially, because both are so vulnerable under the different personas and images they present the rest of the world.
This rec sucks, but the fic is absolutely beautiful, poignant. It's not all sad either, I'm just easy that way. It's amazing. And this is my favorite line, because I believe in fighting to keep the people you love, about adapting to new situations and not losing what you don't have to:

reaction: I'm not sure how I feel about this fic, because it treads a thin line of being Only 13--which wouldn't make me dislike the fic but would change the voice of the fic entirely. But I think this deserves a rec because it offers a fairly realistic glimpse into how some members might be feeling now, nothing entirely negative but still unsure, uncertain. Plus, I've missed Kibum, so something from his POV was especially nice. My favorite bit is (surprise, surprise) Jungsu's role and lines.

summary: Donghae feels lost in China a few weeks after their subgroup debuts. Good thing there are two hearts he can hold on to.
reaction: Poetic, heartwrenching, sweet, perfect. 100 words that say so much about how the three of them just fit together.

summary: Super Junior Kim Kibum leaves group.
reaction: This fic, of course, makes me sad. Considering the topic, of course it would. I don't believe this would happen at all, but it's a very well-written piece of "what if". Donghae tugs at heartstrings without being overtly adorable, for once, and Kibum--well, you have to feel for him. My heart breaks for him in this fic and the ending--the last paragraph and line are the most powerful parts of this fic because it's about more than just Kibum or Donghae, it's about Super Junior, and family.

reaction: EVERYONE FUCKING LOVES DONGHAE, OKAY? I just. I can't resist his cute and no one else can either. Speaing over my bias, however, these drabbles were really heartwarming and sweet. There's so much lovely platonic interaction that makes me happy: it demonstrates different ways friendship and love can be shown. It's--so lovely. Everyone is very individual, different from each other, and my favorite is...wait for it...the TeukHae. (I know, you're shocked.) I honestly would have rearranged the order of the members a little bit (put Teuk right before the end, for example), but reading them as they are doesn't detract at all from their loveliness, I think.

This fic is ridiculously funny in its concept (Hannie is...losing bits of his outfit as time progresses) and well-executed throughout. Each member is awesome in his own way, and Henry is cute and awkward. Also, Hae is adorable. Zhou Mi is wicked and wonderful. And Hae is adorable. The ending, also, priceless! (And Hae is ADORABLE, OKAY?)
