youtube recs: sjm + sukira fancams

For [livejournal.com profile] loser_no_jutsu, because I've decided that Bailey needs some happy in her life. :D And since SJM makes me ridiculously, amazingly happy, it can only be so for her too! Right? Right. I love my logic.

This is the day in the life of a fangirl:

Note that most of these are fancams because China hates me (yes, it's obviously a personal vendetta) and hasn't aired 音乐集结号. Vaguely in the order that I watched them.

title: 200708 背后的故事 (Behind the Story) SJ-M 1/4 (subbed) | 2/4 | 3/4 | 4/4
focus: Special focus on Han Geng, but all of SJM
summary: Getting to know HG+SW, HG+KH+RW+DH, and HG+HR+ZM. Features Siwon's awesome Chinese, Han Geng being carried in a princess hold, KH/RW/DH trying to mimic HG's ethnic dances, Henry's beyond utter fail at Chinese, and ZM's thoughts on antis.
reaction: I love this MC! He's a good friend of Hannie's and it shows. ♥ ShiHan is freakin' OTP and totally hilarious here. I love love LOVE how their friendship shines through on this - the Timeless MV is beautiful and really nice at capturing how completely awesome they both are at acting. (HANNIE IN A DRAMA. \o/ One day the two of them will be in the same drama...) This interview pretty much made me fall in love with Siwon.

I love Kyuhyun madly, even if he's too "steady" haha. It's honestly just discomfort from being thrust into a situation where he can't speak the language, but you can tell he tries! Ryeowook is just adorable all over - I love how he stands and stares cluelessly at HG when he's supposed to mimicing the dance. Donghae is just--just--yeah. My favorite. Cute and laughing and hugging ZM (!!) in the audience and a total little kid, just like HG says. But then he's surprisingly mature when it comes to things like his answer about his fame in Korea vs his fame in China. Hae, sometimes you surprise me like that, and make me love you all over again.

Henry...Henry, your Chinese is So Much Fail. (Since this was filmed a few months ago, I think his Chinese has improved somewhat since then lol.)

Favorite Henry bits:
MC: Why did you audition for SM?
Henry: I've always liked Korean music...
Mei: LIES, LIES THAT YOU TELL. Like you'd even heard of Kpop before then - or maybe you have, you total FOB! I laugh in your direciton.

MC: Shun li ma?
Henry: "Shun li...?"

Silence, then laughter as both Hannie and ZM hang their heads and pat Henry on the back LOLOLOL. Priceless.

I'm a little sad, though, because I'm sure he'd have interesting things to say re fans and antis if only they'd let him speak in English. The moment where the MC asked him if he'd ever experienced anti-fan sentiment and chanting and he's all quiet before letting out a small, "I have," sort of killed me. I just wanted to give him a hug.

Hearing Zhou Mi's perspective on the fans was interesting. He's really well-spoken, which I knew, but his answer also seemed scripted. I'm sure he's been a lot more hurt by the antis than he lets on (or is allowed to let on). I really do like him more and more though. Bb, work hard. We love you! (Honeypot fanproject, guys. I pimp like a pimpin' thing. Let ZM know that we care!)

Ninja!edit: Dumplings bit was verreh cute, but don't be distracted by Hae feeding Geng that you miss the way Hae's mouth opens wide. Yes, I fucking ship Donghae/everyone, he's the cutest slut ever I am so going to hell shut uuuup ohgod. Someone remind me that I've already written Donghae/everyone and now it's someone else's turn?

If you guys haven't seen Han Geng on Behind the Story (subbed!), go here. So worth it. Made me cry, but Hannie's stories/interviews always makes me cry. I'M EASY, OKAY?

title: "KyuMi" mischievous Kyu with MiMi
focus: Kyuhyun, Zhou Mi
summary: From 音乐集结号 on 17-06-08, where the hosts try to get two members of SJM to dance with little girls.
reaction: QMIIII. IT LIIIIIVES. I love a playful!Kyu askljfldkhs.

title: [FANCAM] SJM dancing with kids on 音乐集结号 02
focus: SJM
summary: Henry and Zhou Mi dance with little girls.
reaction: ...China, wtf. I love you. Henry is so into this, it can't be anything but totally hysterical. Zhou Mi sort of fails, but I blame his awkward long limbs. This is the full fancam/scene that the Qmi fancam is cut from. GOD HENRY. I can't get over him.

title: [Fancam] SJ-M @ 音乐集结号
focus: SJM
summary: The boys receive awards at a mock-ceremony, and win giant stuffed animals. Wherein Kyu gets named Best Dressed, Han Geng gets Best Dancer, and Ryeowook gets Best Composer.
reaction: alksjfldk Zhou Mi has a giant Hello Kitty oh god what did he win? I must know. K-One (the MCs) are freaking hilarious. They pretend to be Michael Jackson when presenting HG's award and looooool because of all the dancing and the mentions of the nose and the accented English. Hannie is a total camwhore, ilhsm. He is so much cockier in China, it's fantastic. Ryeowook is perpetually clueless but it's okay because Henry loves him! Donghae is really affectionate with everyone and likes to pat HG on the ass. Siwon is having a ball listening to the translator behind them and finds everyone utterly hysterical. The MCs then pretend to be Yao Ming to present RW's award askfjldks I WANT THIS SHOW, CHINA.

title: [Fancam] Han Geng Learning Hubei Opera @ 音乐集结号
focus: Han Geng, features SJM
summary: Han Geng attempts high-pitched Hubei opera.
reaction: I mean, what am I supposed to say except that it's hilarious and I loled? It's hilarious and I loled, guys! Oh god, Hannie, ilhsm.

title: Han Geng's Ballet @ 音乐集结号
focus: Han Geng, features SJM
summary: Han Geng demonstrates his ballet training.
reaction: It's a little awkward in his Giant Boots, but Hannie is always amazing. I'm always, always impressed with his dance training and I hope he never, ever lets that go.

title: [Fancam] SJ-M Doing Ballet @ 音乐集结号
focus: SJM
summary: SJM does ballet with two little girls.
reaction: I'm laughing because, wtf, randomly-placed though strangely well-timed sound effects. Mostly I laugh because, god, RW is so embarrassed, and Henry is, again, so into it. There's no way people in Canada can watch this without doing a little "...*facepalm". SERIOUSLY, GUYS. Also, Kyu's ending is graceful~ And Donghae is a dancer, trufax.

title: [FANCAM] Henry violin dance routine on 音乐集结号
focus: Henry
summary: Henry's new violin dance routine.
reaction: This is the same dance I fangirled wildly earlier, the one where I cried about almost-jailbait!Henry? Yeah. Fuckin' hot, this dance, and still adorable. Fancam is further away but still good - manages to capture him stumbling up the sides at the beginning and then more boys at the end. :D

title: [Fancam] Donghae's Dance Solo @ 音乐集结号
focus: Donghae
summary: Donghae dances to Trey Songz - Missin' You
reaction: The fans need to Shut The Fuck Up. I'm fuckin' serious. I can't even hear the music past their chanting. What's up with this? Can't you respect him enough to let him perform and then cheer like crazy after he's done? Does this require too much common sense?! Okay, I'm bitter, but you should watch this for how hot Donghae is and how fluidly he dances and and and. Yes. Fuck me.

title: 080617 SJ-M @ 音乐集结号 - On the Sidelines [Zhoumi Fancam]
focus: Zhou Mi
summary: On the sidelines while Donghae performs his solo, focus on ZM, but you can see HG and Henry as well, occasionally RW and SW and at the end, KH.
reaction: ZHOU MI IS SO CUTE. OH MY GOD. THIS MADE ME A BIGGER ZM FAN THAN I WAS ASKJFLDKJ. Look at how adorable he is smiling and clutching Kyu's (QMIII) giant stuffed animal. Look at him grin and wave to the fans all bashfully and sing along to the opening lines of DH's song. He is so cuuuuute. See also Hannie being adorable in the background, resting his poor tired head on his own stuffed animal. Awwww, boys. I love them like crazy. I think Henry's stretching at the end there - preparing for his own dance, probably.

title: [Fancam] Celebrating Ryeowook's Birthday @ 音乐集结号
focus: Ryeowook, Donghae, features SJM
summary: Birthday songs for Ryeowook, and cake. Ryeowook smears cake on everyone, including Donghae, who's run to the other side of the stage to avoid him.
reaction: I WANT TO MARRY EVERYONE ALSDKJFDL WHAT THE HELL THIS IS UNFAIR. SO CUTE.

title: MWideNews-Super Junior Conquering Asia 080723 (subbed)
focus: Super Junior
summary: First half addresses the Japanese fanmeet, where Teukie talks a lot, Yesung is retarded and gets hit by everyone, and EH, HC, and ET perform hip thrusts. The second half covers Super Show in Thailand, where Teukie cries a lot, Kibum is manly, and HANCHUL IS EPIC. Heechul makes fun of Hankyung's accent, and Sungmin tries, but gets hit. LOL ♥.
reaction: I love SJM a crazy amount, don't mistake me, but I'll never forget my all-encompassing love of the giant retarded 13-member boy band either. :D Leadersshi is a sap, an overworked, over-worrying, overtired one, but I love him. Him writing Japanese on his hand made me laugh at his lameness. I rolled my eyes at the Q&A because fans ask stupid questions (if you want to study abroad, talk to your fucking university advisor, what the hell would SuJu know?), but Kangin makes up for it by being funny (ilhsm) and Yesung by being lame and attacked. Hyukjae is ridiculously adorable, despite his sexy dance, and I laugh and laugh at Heechul's face when he hip thrusts. :D Shindong is also an A+ Charlie Chapman.

Boys in Thailand make me go "HOLY SHIT WHAT A HUGE STAGE". Donghae is sososo sincere/cute/good at flirting and giving the fans what the want heeyyy. He totally knows how to work it (would ttly make a good hooker, y/n). Also HANCHUL EPIC BFFERY YES YES YES. And Miiin, so caught in the middle, so not his fault! He tries, but is abused by newly-confident!Hannie. Cuuuute. Only Heechul can get away with anything. Also, while I was watching, I thought: Thailand loves Kibum. (Also, Thailand loves KiHae. Though this is possibly irrelevant.) Teukie cries a lot, but I don't blame him. Love these boys. Don't love the "forever 13" comments, though I know they're meant as an expression of support and love. ::shrugs:: Whatever. I take ZM's word for it.

title: 080722 Sukira - EH, LT dance to So Hot
focus: Eunhyuk, Leeteuk
summary: They dance to So Hot. Okay, it's mostly Teukie.
reaction: ...so this song is sort of addictive. What to make it better but to see EunTeuk dance to it? :D Teukie looks adorable in pink/salmon/red/whatever-that-color-wants-to-be and his cap. Also, he is sort of off on all the dance movements, lol. Good try, bb. (Now if only leadersshi and Heenim would dance together...!)

title: 080722 Sukira - EH, LT dance to Good Luck
focus: Eunhyuk, Leeteuk
summary: Minor dancing by EH to SJH's Good Luck.
reaction: I like this song. EH is cute. I am distracted by the stuffed Stitch in his lap? What? I LOVE STITCH.

That's...all I've watched today, and it only took part of my morning and afternoon! I might have to move furniture later this afternoon, or write or something. I never know what I'm doing with my life. D:

Random question, because it's been bugging me recently: How do you write your dates?

07-26-08 (month, day, year)
26-07-08 (day, month, year)
08-07-26 (year, month, day)

I'm pretty sure the U.S. defaults to the first one, but I really prefer either the second or third option. It makes more sense in the long run of categorizing things. Also, according to Strunk & White, the best way of writing dates is 26 July 2008, where the two numbers are separated by a word, because that makes for fastest processing and comprehension. And we all know Strunk & White = Mei's gods of writing. I Believe what they say.

P.S. WHY AREN'T I ALLOWED TO BE ELITIST? IS IT 'CAUSE IT'S MEAN?

[identity profile] uminohikari.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
The second makes the most sense to me, since it's how I learned it in Chinese school. >>

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
The problem with me using option 2 or even 3 is that most people around me will just be confused, at least with dates like 070508. Do I mean May 7 or July 5?! Dilemma! World should be consistent. Just like the U.S. should change to the freakin' metric system already. :(

[identity profile] uminohikari.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
asdfjkl; I MEANT THE THIRD.

Fail. ;;

[identity profile] kasugai-gummie.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Growing up in Canada, I learned to write it the third way. Took some time to conform to the American way after crossing the border~ lolol OTL

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
THE U.S. WAY MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL.

The other two are least going from largest entity to smallest entity or vice versa. WTF America. >:(

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, MEI, YOU ARE MY HERO.

SUJU MAKES ME VERY HAPPY, JUST NOT THE FANDOM. TAT

(hahaha, um, my thought process for making people happy is exactly. like that. OTL)

UM, ALL OF THEM. -FLAILS WILDLY- MEI, PLEASE. LET ME EXPLAIN.

Personally, I use the second one, because to my brain systematic ascension works the best?

I have to switch to the first for others because they are so wired the
American way of the English system and asl;fkjasdfksjdf, Christ America, can you just give in? ;___; So annoying like heck.

And then I use the third system for Chinese school~

I fail. I know. I am sorry. orz

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
OH GOD I LOVE THESE BOYS SO HARD. Who needs fandom when I can watch canon? Okay, I just need fandom to flail with me, but otherwise no. Haha. I'm rewatching Behind the Story now and laksjfldksjlk Siwon is freaking hilarious. I love them all.

Mmmm dates. I'm going to force the second option on my friends. XD

In English!school, I usually write it as the first one because... everyone is like "LOL WHUT IS THIS CRAP" but in Chinese school or online, I write it the third way.

And sodifmspdof oh God, my Chinese is actually better than Henry's considering how fail my Chinese is LOLOLOL ;______; The weird thing is that I still speak with an accent, ha ha.

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You speak Chinese with an accent? Or English? You've mentioned the latter before but...Henry...just. Yeah. ::shakes head:: I suppose it's not his fault, being born in Canada and all, but I still laugh at him. I wish he were given more of a chance to express is feelings though. I'm sure he has lots of thoughts he just can't share b/c of the language barrier.

YES! SHOWS IN SUBS! (I think I have a greater appreciation for Korean and admiration for people who are patient in waiting for subs.)

I really want to see Henry speak/answer in English for once. >:|

For dates, I use the first one because it's what I'm used to, but I think the second one is more aesthetically pleasing. :3

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously. I love SJM because I can watch shows raw! But things also get subbed faster because there are more Chinese fans in the English-speaking fandom! :D/

Henry answered in English in a Thai interview. It was really cute, though I think he was caught off-guard, which is why he still stutters and...repeats himself. XD ♥ I will hunt for it for you.

here, we do it day, month, year. and anything else will BREAK MICA'S BRAIN D:

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-27 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
I think Chris is right and we should all use 2008/07/26 or something that includes a four-number year! It's only two more numbers. Why is the human race so lazy? D:

[identity profile] breathing-awake.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I write my dates the first way, but I rarely write my dates as all numbers... I actually prefer the third way because it's the easiest to categorize in order (like with my video files...) but I still find it confusing to read sometimes :( Youtube is really confusing because when I want to search for a certain date, I always end up having to try writing my dates a couple different ways to find it!

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-27 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes! I categorize all my videos with the third way. It makes so much more sense. It would be easiest for all of us if we just added the two extra numbers though and madeit 20080726 - then it's fairly obvious it's year/month/day.

[identity profile] loika.livejournal.com 2008-07-27 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
My dates go DDMMYY. ;) Well, unless I'm saving doodle image files or something, then it's easier to use YYMMDD because my computer then knows how to organise everything by number, ahaha.

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-07-27 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
I'm really leaning towards YYMMDD now because of categorization benefits. Or, hell, YYYYMMDD.

[identity profile] halcyon-morn.livejournal.com 2008-07-27 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
The first way is stupid, but it's the American Way, so if you don't do it that way then the terrorists have already won. D:

No, seriously, though, I think the third way (a.k.a. the East Asian Way) is by far the best, although I think it's even more clear if you write out all four digits of the year: 2008-07-26. That way, you move from largest unit to smallest, so it's logical, you preserve the "month then day" order, so we Americans don't get confused, and you can put files on your computer in the correct chronology simply by alphabetizing your folders. Win.

Oh, also, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE FANCAMS. I haven't had time to dig around for fandom stuff recently, so this will be an invaluable resource for me. ♥

As;dlkfds when I went to HongKong, everyone wrote it YYMMDD. But in Australia here, we ALL do DDMMYY. Although at work when I ask patients to fill in their D.O.B, some asians still mix it all up and I have to confirm it with them D:

FAIL. But if someone used the first option with me, I'll totally lose it XD

yah, you feed my obsession for Hae so well >_< Thanks for the links to all the great footage. And jailbait is exactly what I call Henry! I feel kinda guilty for liking him sometimes because he's just so cute I wanna make him my teddy and keep him safe from the world! But ah, that violin playing! *spazzes*

PS: I am very, very lucky to have gotten tickets to the MTV Asia Awards this Saturday and planning my virgin (hoho!) yet hopefully respectful stalking of SuJu (read: Donghae/Leeteuk/Kyunnie) all over Genting. Would you happen to know how the hell I can find out their flight details so that I can greet them/say goodbye at KLIA??

[identity profile] under-an-oak.livejournal.com 2008-07-29 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
