I am fascinated by this kind of thing and how so much of who we are and how we act is subconsciously influenced by our environment. I am less on board with the idea that because the German Spanish have a masculine word for bridge and the Spanish German have a feminine word for bridge, that the German Spanish therefore imagine bridges all stout and tough and "manly" and the Spanish German imagine their bridges delicate and, what, girly? (ETA2: I suck at having a memory. Also, Spanish.) But aside from that weird stereotypical bit, the rest of the article is really, really fascinating.
