Things I am enjoying:
I got caught up on Yotsuba&! and it is full of delight. There's just something about how straightforward and simple that manga is, the day-to-day adventures of a strange five-year-old discovering the world. There was a recent chapter about ordering pizza and getting it delivered - and that was it, but it was great. It made me hungry.
I started watching random episodes of Running Man, which is a hysterically funny Korean variety show. Wiki gives a brief synopsis of it, but it sounds much weirder and more boring than the actual show is. Of course I started watching it after hearing the hype and because there were idols I was interested in guesting in a few episodes; from there on, though, you really start appreciating the main cast, too. But the guesting idols are still hilarious - Yoona & Sunny! Nichkhun & Taecyeon! Yunho & Changmin! Yonghwa! Daesung! Jessica! Heechul! Siwon. Oh Siwon, I always want to punch you in the face, even when you are hilarious.
Things I am excited about:
Warrior comes out this Friday! It's getting a lot of good reviews, which makes me happy. :D T-HARD, T-HARD!! I haven't been to the movies forever (aside from HP, it's probably been close to a year) and I really want to see it in theaters, but I don't think I have anyone to go with me. All my guy friends into MMA are halfway across the country, and all my girl friends into Tom Hardy are at minimum five hours away from me. Sad.
Not sad: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy coming out this year! This Means War next year! Gary Oldman's epic romance with Tom Hardy! Such good things.
New Discworld book out in October! It's about Vimes. It's going to be a satire of the English mystery genre! I am filled with such gleeful anticipation. :D :D :D
Things I am thinking about:
I am thinking seriously of getting an e-reader because I'm sick of staring at my computer screen all the time. I want to read books! Fic! Manga! All conveniently in one place, without straining my eyes all the time. I have been particularly swayed of late after discovering that all of Andrew Lang's Fairy Books are out of copyright and freely available. Omg.
