Favorite Fic: In Which Donghae is Irresistible (SJ, Donghae/everyone, R)
It's gotta be this fic, because I will always believe that everyone loves Donghae and that most of them (all of them!) want in his pants, too. I vote this happen all the time.

Best Fic: finding somewhere you belong (SJ, Heechul, Henry, Han Geng, PG)
I tend to think some of the best fics are gen, and I think I managed to get the theme of the title across in the three separate stories focusing on Heechul, Henry, and Han Geng. There's probably a lot of myself in this fic, but they say "write what you know". It's a lot of introspection, but I think I managed to get the characterizations I like and believe here.

Most Underappreciated Fic: Drinking Games (SJ movie!verse, Heechul/Donghae, PG-13)
CinHae is not an incredibly popular ship, which is a pity, because it can be so cute. I do sort of see more brotherly love than otherwise, but I really had a lot of fun with this fic. I put a lot of work into it and I think it's the first fully completed movie!verse I wrote. There's even plot, you guys! Do you know how hard that is for me? I definitely have to note that Donghae's and Heechul's (and Kibum's) personalities in this fic were much more reflective of their movie characterizations than of real life.

Most Fun Fic: Take your favorite fairy tale and rip it up (SJ, mostly gen, PG-13 to R)
Pretty much all of my crackfics were fun to write - Genderswitch, for example, or any of the Change!fics (the ones about Hyuk and porn). I also had fun with why Kangin moved out of the dorms, and Geng starting a strip club. But I chose this fic because it was entirely way too much to villainize SuJu members and make them evil or crazy. What's a little darkness and personality disorder to make your fic more fun, right? ;D

Sexiest Fic: Playing the Field (SJ, Kibum/everyone, NC-17)
I wrote so much porn this year, it's totally ridiculous. I really considered the porn tropes (KyuMin cop-felon smut or KangTeuk clubbing smut) or the now-familiar QMi-sexing-at-interview fic. In the end, I had to pick this fic mostly because it had the greatest quantity of sex in it (winning by sheer volume!): Kibum does not only all twelve members of his band, but also lots of random older women. In Love Song: composed by Cho Kyuhyun, Kyuhyun is mostly a good boy and stays within the band. Kibum can't deprive the rest of the word of his sex god-ness. For the record, my favorite of my smut fics is the KiHae crossdressing one: Comes with the Territory.

Fic that Shifted my own Perceptions of the Characters: This Love (SJ, Eunhyuk/Sungmin friendship, PG)
Writing from an Only 13 perspective (sort of) and putting myself on Hyuk's side made me see things a little differently. I still am firmly pro-SJM, but this fic made me less angry at Only 13. It helped put the idea in a different perspective: one of being afraid of losing your friends, of being resistant to change. It's all human, and understandable. So I'm not sure if it necessarily changed my perception of Hyuk specifically, but maybe generally all the Only 13 members...

Fic I'm Most Proud of: At Least I Still Have You (SJ & SJM, bandfic, PG)
I have a soft spot for bandfic. Plus, within this fic, we have ShiHan pride for Han Geng, plus epic HanChul friendship, and emphasis on how Hyuk has an incredible number of best friends who love him. Plus, Kyu's crush on Donghae, which I will never tire of (though I am a staunch QMi shipper, shocker, I know). I like to think I managed to portray how members of SJ might have reacted to SJM, and their relationships with each other. I like to think their friendships matter most.

Biggest Disappointment: Your Average High School Love Story (SJ AU, Kibum/Donghae, PG-13)
I love this fic, I do. I had so much fun writing this high school AU and making Donghae fanboy Kibum's arms. It was just a huge disappointment in that I didn't have the time or focus to expand this short ficlet into a lengthier fic. After tring for weeks, it became more of a chore than something fun: I just couldn't do it. I really wish I could've, because I love this concept. Candles in Your Cake was also a bit of a disappointment because I wrote it under time pressure to get it done and out by Donghae's birthday - I actually wanted to put bits of Donghae's father's letter into the fic. I think it would've tied everything together better, as well as have made it more poignant. Alas, I posted too soon, and now it's too late.

Biggest Surprise:ad infinitum (SJ, Siwon/Donghae, PG)
It's technically ShiHae, but the intereaction is all ShiHan being BFF. That...was unexpected. I originally wanted to focus more on ShiHae, obviously. Other contenders include the Henry/Taemin picture drabble - I had no idea who Henry would be sexing up until I wrote out the name - and Downtime, the ShiHanChul crackfic. Never expected it to end up NC-17. I generally never know where my crackfics are going unless the end is supposed to be the punchline (like with breaking dusk).

Hardest Fic to Write: Thicker than Blood (SJ, Kangin/Eeteuk, PG-13)
I had the idea for this fic months and months before I managed to execute it; it was incredibly difficult to write because at first I wanted to make it properly epic and by the end I just wasn't as invested in KangTeuk anymore. There were different challenges in starting, working on, and completing this fic. I think I'm fairly satisfied with the final product though (either that or I just don't care that much...).

Fic I Want Remembered:
Oh god, I don't know. I am rather fond of my Donghae/everyone, Kyuhyun/everyone, Kibum/everyone, and Eeteuk/everyone fics. I'd like my QMi picture drabbles remembered because I think I did a better job on some of those than on longer fics. Then there's the first het fic I've written in ages. There's probably a better chance the crackfics or rarepairs (MiMin, ShiHyuk, HEECHUL/TAEMIN) will be remembered, or oh god, the tentacle!porn stuff. (So much porn, crying.) But I think if I had a choice, I'd like any of my KiHae fics remembered. They were fun to write and had sort-of plots. :) Plus, bias.

Goals for Next Year:
Um, to write at all. Law school is making it incredibly difficult - to find the time, one, and also to find the creativity or the interest. I also want to do a decent job on my remix fic. Maybe I'll try a new fandom! No idea which, but something new would be interesting - or maybe even returning to an old fandom. Who knows? I just know I hope I manage to write next year.
