creepy tech-savvy stalkers

Dear tech-savvy flist:

So, say someone has somehow hacked into my Gmail account even though I've continually changed the password after I first suspected this person to have gotten ahold of it. Said person is keeping a low profile and not doing anything but, you know, invading my privacy and reading my emails and being a creepy stalker but - how would said person have managed to continue to get into my account after numerous password changes?

This was first noticed because, when you're logged into Gmail, it tells you at the bottom of the page by your storage stats if you're logged into this account from another IP. I looked up the IP and I know exactly who this person is but...how on earth did said person hack into my account? And how can I block this person from managing to get into my account in the future?

Please help.

maybe they know the answer to your secret question? or maybe the cookies are just hanging around for a long time. or maybe you have a keylogger on your comp.
have you tried the "Sign out all other sessions" buttan in details?

alfjsklk other than this creepy girl (she's actually crazy, he might actually be considering a restraining order - which is kind of just holy shit for me), I've been mostly good. Law school was long and tedious but it's summer now! Interning in Beijing until August...

This is more of a hypothetical (sort of...) question b/c it's my bf's account that was hacked...by his ex. And we know how now and we've talked to her but it's seriously like talking to a wall. I got absolutely nowhere. /facepalm I just don't want to deal with her crazy anymore.

ahahah creepy, much? also, how are you holding up in china, bb? i...am actually quite terrified at the thought of being in china, because while i am chinese it still is pretty difficult to make out what they're saying with that distinctive chinese accent, and not being able to understand them would just be mortifying XD

Unbelievably creepy, though the hacking was into my bf's account by his ex. Just. Oh god so much unnecessary drama.

China's been all right! It's just been the first week and a few days were rough because it's really the first time I'm here on my own, but I met one of the other interns and I know a few people, so we've done some stuff/had fun. And all was well~ Starting work Monday, which will hopefully put me into a good routine. :)
