SUPER SHOW II: A HOW-TO GUIDE
2009.07.17 ☆ 2009.07.18 ☆ 2009.07.19
Not official in any way, but hopefully grouped altogether to be a helpful resource!

WHAT THIS POST IS FOR:
I. CONTACT POST FOR PEOPLE GOING TO SUPER SHOW II IN SEOUL
- Post to this thread if you are (thinking about) going to the 07/17 Friday show.
- Post to this thread if you are (thinking about) going to the 07/18 Saturday show.
- Post to this thread if you are (thinking about) going to the 07/19 Sunday show.
Get to know each other! Make plans to meet up! It's always fangirling with more people, especially English-speaking ones if you, like me, struggle with Korean. And by struggle I mean "cannot speak to save my life", lol.
II. HELP WITH GMARKET TICKET-PURCHASING
I know that foreigners can register for Gmarket if you go here and follow the first few steps of this tutorial.
Further help on this would be greatly appreciated. Do you have previous experience buying tickets on Gmarket? Have you heard words of wisdom? Then please post to this thread if you can help answer any of the following questions:
- Where do we buy SS2 tickets (in English)?
- When do we buy tickets?
- How does payment work online? Paypal?
- Are foreign credit cards accepted?
- Where do we pick up our tickets?
- Is there a purchase confirmation we need to bring with us?
- What other IDs do we need with us to pick up tickets?
- How do we pick seating arrangements?
- How do you tell which are sitting and which are standing?
- Would it be better for a group to let one person buy tickets so all the seats are together?
→ http://community.livejournal.com/super_junior/1078240.html or this link
→ June 16, 17, and 18, at 8PM Korean time. (GMT +9)
→ GMarket payments are pretty much the same with like Yesasia or HMV. You use a credit card.
→ you can use paypal to pay, not just credit cards.
→ --Yes. I've used Gmarket with a VISA card. You are required to send a scan of your card, editing out the last 4 digits of the card number though. See more info here.
→ they send it to you by mail or you can print it off as a e-tix
→ If you don't have a Korean address, you are supposed to put the address noted on the website. I think that is the SM ticketing office or some shit. Lol. Anyway yeah. i don't think the details are out for getting the tickets if you don't have a Korean address and if you buy within the allotted time. (as of 2009/06/12)
→ Within the allotted time, it doesn't say yet. But there are instructions on the GMarket website for those that buy after June 25th. :) (as of 2009/06/12)
→ once the site is up, there will be a button to choose seats, and so you just click on it[usually a big button after the info and price] and choose your seats..FAST! they get sold fast [remember for the last concert, it wads sold out like in 15mins]
→ A,B,C,D=standing and highly recommended!
→ limited 4 tix.
III. ADVICE ON TICKET-PURCHASING THE DAY OF/STANDING IN LINE
For those who don't want to purchase tickets on Gmarket, a certain number of tickets are put aside to sell at the door the day of the concert. This section concerns people who want to stand in line for tickets, or who want to know how it works just in case they don't get tickets online. Please post to this thread if you can answer any of the following questions:
- How do you find the ticket office where tickets are held?
- How many tickets are typically held for sale on the day of?
- How early should you arrive to stand in line?
- What are your chances of getting a ticket?
- Where are the seats from these tickets, typically? Good or bad, sitting or standing?
→ "Happy Booth" is the name of the ticket booth. There are two of them with only one working. You'll know when you see a very long lineup.
→ I heard it was around 1000 or less? [rumor/not confirmed]
→ As early as you can. I think, since it's summer, Fans will stay overnight.Subway starts around 5am, go then. if you have someone to go with it's better as one can buy something to eat or go off and have someone else in line still.
→ pretty good. if they are sold out @ the booth, there are still scalpers around that are selling over priced tickets... in korean, but they seem easy to find maybe?
→ good and bad. depends on where you are in line for them. i think both stand and seat.
IV. THE DAY OF THE CONCERT
Things under this category would be helpful the day of or the night of the concert. Please post to this thread if you can answer any of the following questions:
- Where is the Olympic Park Fencing Stadium and how do you get there?
- How early should you show up?
- What are you allowed to bring and what aren't you allowed to bring?
→ It's at the Seoul Olympic Park Fencing Stadium, the Olympic Park stop on the purple line (line 5), and people who haven't taken that line before need to be careful at the Gangdong stop... sometimes the train will continue on to Sangil-dong (the wrong direction) and sometimes it will continue on to Macheo (the correct direction)...
→ For any concert, it's good to get there at least an hour or so before, due to any transportation inconveniences, lines, the possibility of having to check you camera, and time to buy concert goods.
→ Most concerts don't allow outside food or drinks, and I've been to two concerts at the Olympic stadium where one I could bring water in and the other I couldn't. And cameras are not allowed.
→ more info here
PLEASE POST HERE IF YOU HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS AND I WILL EDIT THEM IN. When questions are answered, I'll do my best to edit them into the post as well, with links.
Be patient with me though - it's past midnight here so I'm going to sleep soon, and I have a busy day tomorrow. Post may not be updated quickly, but feel free to browse the threads and talk to each other!

Hope this helps, hon!
For any concert, it's good to get there at least an hour or so before, due to any transportation inconveniences, lines, the possibility of having to check you camera, and time to buy concert goods. If it gives you a "doors open" time, then arrive maybe an hour before that so you won't have to be last in the long line that is most definitely going to be there. It's not something you have to wait outside over night for (you do have a ticket and you'll get your seat), but it's probably not something you want to arrive 5 minutes before they start.
Most concerts don't allow outside food or drinks, and I've been to two concerts at the Olympic stadium where one I could bring water in and the other I couldn't. They won't turn you away, but they might make you chug/eat it quickly or throw it out when they search you/your bags. Same went for having a camera. But, due to the regulations last Super Show, I don't believe that cameras will be allowed. If you try to smuggle one in, if they see you with in inside the stadium, the can take it or they can kick you out, so be very cautious with your choice. Especially if it's an expensive one. Lightsticks are obviously a must, and there should be about 8 billion ajuma selling them all over the place.
