Super Show Saturday: fan account
First, I should preface this with the fact that I'm currently overly emotional and can't stop randomly breaking into tears. This has a lot to do with me not wanting to leave Korea, but the reasons behind that are slightly more complicated than just SJ and having fun. But be warned, anyway - though being emotional tends to make my posts less caps-filled and I think more coherent, if more rambly.
Typing this up at the airport, my account of Saturday's Super Show.
→ Okay, finished the entry and telling you now that this is pages and pages long. It's really as much an account for myself, for record-keeping and for memory-making, as it is for you guys. So forgive the epic length and the tangents and rambling and bias and tears, please. ♥
Saturday morning,
coyotecolored and I met up at the subway at 6am and took the ride down to Olympic Park, which took approximately 40 minutes. When we arrived, the stadium was nearly deserted. We did find a group of Chinese fans already in line for tickets, though, because Chinese fans can't buy tickets off G-market so they always come to stand in line and have organized the whole process. We got numbers on our arms for our place in line (87 and 88 respectively, which was really early - people with numbers like 350 had gotten tickets and gotten in yesterday).
We waited for hours until the ticket booth opened at 11am - but at least the weather was good! Cloudy and breezy; not too hot. We were early enough to still get standing tickets in sections B or C (which are the good sections to stand in, near the center crosswalk the guys walk down all the time) - I decided after two hours of sleep and hours of standing, I really couldn't take more hours of standing. Plus, seated tickets gets you a better view of the entire concert and sometimes gets you close enough to touch. Good enough for me. Plus, I'm short, unlike Fuu, and would more likely be trampled on in my exhaustion and shortness, lol. She went for standing tickets though and got a ticket for C. She doesn't regret it. :)
Skipping the waiting part - hours of boringness and being inflicted by sudden storms. Seriously crazy rain got everyone soaked, despite umbrellas and raincoats. We stood in line (yay, lines - that's all I did in Korea, seriously) for official merchandise. They had done animal characters for all the members (ET - dinosaur, HC - black cat, HK - dragon, YS - turtle, KI - bull?, SD - pig, SM - cow, EH - anchovy idek why this is not monkey, SW - horse, DH - fishy, RW - pink bunny, why this is not Sungmin idk, KH - deer. No KB.) These characters were all on mini-flags you could buy to wave, and t-shirts. But they were out of all t-shirts except SD and SW by the time we got there, which was just utterly depressing. And all my favorites' flags were gone too (DH, HC ;-;). I got a YS flag for a friend, bought bromides (13 posters I don't know what to do with, god, but it had a gorgeous Kibum in it), an official keychain, and an official Super Show II t-shirt.
More waiting, more lines, and now the concert:
Beginning:
After everyone had filed in and was seated, waiting for the lights to dim and the show to start, there was suddenly a huge wave of screaming. Why? DBSK had showed up to watch the show. They were guided in with tons of security to their seats in the VIP section (where there were no fans to pounce them, thank God). Huge, huge amounts of screaming went on for a while. Even after it died, people were chattering excitedly. It was cool, but in my not-really-in-DBSK-fandom opinion, it was not such a huge deal for me? Since I was there for Super Show.
Everyone else seemed to remember this too when the lights finally dimmed. The wave of screams that that triggered were amazing, especially paired with the thousands of blue glowsticks waving in the dark. Sometimes it's just awesome to be part of something so huge, you know?
They were filming for the DVD that night, and it showed. It was a bigger and better show than Friday's. More organized, more hyped, and damn more paranoid about cameras and crap but I know fans sneaked them in anyway.
I was sitting in section 28 today, right in front of one of the platforms. Heechul was standing, oh god, five feet away from me when they started. Eeteuk had been closer the night before but alskdjfldk Heechul. Heechul showing up in his black face mask with the character 希 on it, and so much delicious eyeliner, and oh god he is just...fucking amazing. Every little bit of cockiness he has? He totally deserves.
They started off doing Galjeung and there was this amazing CinHae slut moment (more about CinHae later) and then they segued into U. Crying. It was amazing, getting to actually be part of the crowd that shouted "KIM HEECHUL" after he sang his part, and there was no fan but...I love him. It's so good to see them perform old songs because you can see how much they've grown and changed - Donghae and Kyuhyun are so much more comfortable in their skin now, older and more mature, and it shows. It's gorgeous. The hipthrusts will always still be hot, but hotter now that they are actually men and not just still teenagers, and Donghae's hair~ Um, distracted.
Then they did a hot remix of Neorago. Seriously. I just. I need this song and I need to put it on repeat. It got hardcore bass and sort of rock and oh sweet Jesus it was hot. They changed up choreography and ...and it was hot. There are no other words.
After this I think they did intros, where everyone did a little dance to their introduction. It was really cute how everyone got lots of screams and cheers, especially Ryeowook (who, btw, is apparently insanely popular in Korea if the strength of the screams were any indication). They saved Eeteuk for last and he got another crescendo of screams and slutted it up momentarily with Donghae before breaking out on his own (okay, see how everything goes back to Donghae. orz Sorry, this is a very biased account. I confess to spending most of the concert staring at him, when there wasn't another member ten feet from my face.)
They also did She Wants It at some point in this beginning line-up but the song never left a huge impression on me, so I guess the performance didn't really either. There was a comic strip story scrolling on the screen and members singing and Eeteuk popped up with an umbrella, and that really got people screaming. Donghae continued fulfilling his role as a cute slut and attention whore, and, hey, it works for him. ;) I'm really glad they did so many 3jib songs though.
They did Miracle and Dancing Out really early too, hyping up the crowd. It was lots of screaming and fun and fans singing along. There was a lot of playing around and running about on the stage - Heechul really does boss everyone around and they like it. It's great. Donghae, Heechul, and Siwon are huge flirts with the fans - there is so much bending down and teasing. Eunhyuk and Eeteuk actually just bend down and touch and say hi and stuff, but the former three are just big teases, even if they eventually do carry through.
Mostly from this part I remember gratuitous HanChul groping and Kyuhyun smiling wildly when during his part of Dancing Out, the fans screamed "It's cool~" with him. Then there was EunHae messing around with Eunhyuk on his knees between Donghae's legs and Donghae gripping his hair and ...yeah. They know what they do. They know very well. Then Siwon got on his knees in front of Donghae too (lmao, Donghae has a kink) except he was faux-proposing, holding Donghae's hand and singing up at him. Donghae just laughed and shook his head and ran off. God, I love them all.
I don't think I can remember the order of everything else that well so let me pull out highlights (totally out of order, mind):
Solos:
--Sungmin - He was beautiful. It was shocking to me how underrated he is in Korea, but he really is. He doesn't get the most loud screams - or even enough loud screams, that I think he deserves. (If I ranked popularity by strength of screams during the two concerts I went to, I'd say it looked something like this: Eeteuk, Ryeowook, Heechul / Eunhyuk, Hankyung, Donghae, Kyuhyun / Siwon, Yesung, Shindong / Kangin, Sungmin)
But he played the keyboard and then sang and, guys, he really does have a beautiful voice. It doesn't make me just want to cry like Kyuhyun's does (or even make my heart do fluttery things like Donghae's does) but it's so underrated. The boy is sweet and fierce and, god, I do love him a lot.
--Heechul - Heenim stood on stage in an oversized white shirt and clutched at his microphone and sang and it was just - fuck me. Heechul has the stage presence Sungmin doesn't even though Sungmin's voice is by far better. Heechul just has this crazy kind of personality that emanates from him, this energy that makes you love him - or maybe I'm biased because I already love him. He did a great job, and he slunk down the crosswalk to where Jungmo was playing guitar and everyone screamed in hopes he'd kiss him but - no. Just a caress of the face and a soulful, meaningful look into his eyes. Then the lights went out and Heechul ran for it - when the lights went back up, he was in the pit of one corner of standing fans, crouched down singing to them. He ended by taking a girl's hand and kissing it and bringing down the house, pretty much.
This guy is a master of stage performance. His personality is suited to it to a t and god but I love him for it.
--Yesung - He stood, really, five feet from me on the platform, singing his solo. I spent most of the time snickering to myself about how he refused to stare into any fan's eyes (though everyone in the sections surrounding the platform were screaming and waving), singing mostly with his eyes closed or directed carefully at the space the stairs took up. Then I spent more time examining his shiny black pants because the lines around his crotch made it seem like he had something in his pockets but I couldn't figure out what.
orz yes, I spent most of Yesung's solo staring at his crotch and I don't even like him that way. Lmao. But this guy is great to hear in person. I was thinking that while he was singing - could be any random Korean guy on the street and so many wouldn't know, but then a voice like that...it's rare. He's not my favorite but I don't dislike him like I used to - I'm starting to like him a lot now. It's just that liking him a lot still puts him under all my crazy love for the other members.
--Donghae - ...maybe I should come back to this. Donghae's solo made me kind of tear up and right now? Right now it's making me cry. Why? Because I love him, fuck, I love him so much. And this will take another essay to explain that when I say I love him, I don't mean it in the way that I know him as a person and let's be married, yay! I mean that from what I know of him, good and bad, he's someone I would love and support and wish so hard for so many good things. And, yeah, not going to do this essay here but keep in mind that when I say I love him, and oh god I do, it's not meant in the creepy obsessive fan way where I want him to be mine and only mine forevermore.
Apparently Donghae wrote and composed his own solo and refused to let anyone hear it until rehearsal. I loved it to pieces the first time I heard it, but when I heard it last night? I think it helped that all the initial OMFG EXCITEMENT!!! of new things wore off so I could really appreciate things without the !!! to distract me. When I heard the solo last night? Oh god, have some tmi, but it was such a huge fucking turn-on. I'll admit it: Kyuhyun's voice alone could probably make me come, but Donghae's solo? Just hit that same spot in how fucking on it was for me: a combo of the song and his voice and the dance and his pants and fedora and the crotch-grabbing and -
-and more than that, the little bit he did with Eunhyuk. They did a piece of choreo together and it was so good (Hyuk in a beret!) and they are the best friends ever, I love them. Then Donghae picked up a camera and filmed the fans. Filmed himself with the fans. And it all broadcast directly to the giant screen in black and white and I think this is where I might've teared up because, Donghae. Donghae is so much about making fans happy and giving them little things like this and yet he is so much more than the fans could ever make him. The solo was a combination of hot and sexy and sweet and cute and voice and dance and unbearable Donghae-nes.
I need this song (and eventually this video) and he is my indisputable, irreplaceable favorite. ♥
--Ryeowook - And now given a few minutes to recover, Ryeowook's solo ohmyfuckinggod. Apparently he was originally going to do a ballad but was convinced (read: bullied, lmao) by his hyungs to do this sexy song instead. Insomnia, in English, so the Craig David version, I guess? This solo got one of the loudest screams of the entire concert because the idea of Wook with a girl is apparently deserving.
Seriously, the girl was in so little clothing and killer heels and Ryeowook slutted it up with her and it was amazing. Fuu described it as the gayest sexual dance with a girl she'd ever seen, and hahaha I guess that's appropriate. Ryeowook was still so very himself, but also grinding with this girl and feeling up her legs and...yeah. It was a brainbreaking but amazing moment.
--Eeteuk - Leadersshi did Honey by JYP and put on this whole skit with backup dancers and girl dancers and it was well-done and cute and hilarious. He was appropriately greasy and leering at the girls and I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed it. He did his own mini-slutty dance with the girl (also lots of screams, but hopefully more out of excitement than envy or hate, but who knows with fangirls?). He ended by pulling the girl's face towards him and "kissing" her - but it was as obviously fake as all his "kisses" with Kyuhyun and Heechul and whatever. You've all seen the gifs. :3
--Kyuhyun - His voice makes me want to cry. I just. I have no words for how amazing he is, but especially to hear him live? He is just so fucking amazing. I spent the last minute of his song snickering though, because he was sweating like crazy on the platform opposite mine (oh I bitched internally about how Yesung stood on my platform and Kyuhyun stood on the other laskd so jealous!) with three spotlights on him. But when he went to wipe at his dripping sweat, fangirls thought he was crying and all went "Aww!" and alskdjf hilarious. I think he just went with it and kind of kept pretending he was crying while he wiped off sweat, lmao. I love you Kyubaby.
--Kangin - Kangin came in and did a ...I'm pretty sure it's a DJ Doc song. The other famous one that's not Run to You. Everyone in the crowd seemed to know it and it was very energetic and bouncy and fun. He danced with backup dancers for that song, but when it was over, segued into Run to You, and half of SJ came running out to dance with him. I love this song. I loved it first after hearing Big Bang cover it and have loved it ever since. It's so much fun and appropriate for Kangin, who sang and bounced and ended things up by ripping his shirt apart, lol. But he was wearing a wifebeater underneat so no skin.
--Siwon - lmao sang his fucking praise song again (I'm pretty sure it's called "I'm Yours" but damn I need to look it up; I know this song and I used to love it), and I was still crazy-amused. He really got into it this time, even getting on his knees (...yeah...get your mind out of the gutter). At the last chorus, some members filed onto stage behind him to sing with him - Donghae, Kyuhyun, Kangin, Eeteuk, and...I couldn't really make out the last member. It might have been Yesung? Or Sungmin? But I just rememmber thinking, damn, here are the good little Christians of the band. Notice the lack of Hankyung and Heechul. Also, lmao KangTeuk. And also, it reminded me of a line in
unliterati/Anna's Qmi fic (the one with the handjob in the van, yes go find it) where she calls Kyuhyun a "good little Protestant boy" and fuck yes. He is. Sometimes it's so weird to remember.
And Donghae. Donghae.
Somehow his faith is less loltastic to me than Siwon's, possibly because it's less in-your-face. I love him. ;_;
KRY: Sang alksdjI think it was "Let's Not"? Damn, I only know a select few songs from SJ3, okay? they sang "What If". But it was a beautiful ballad and Sungmin sang with them. Then they did Heartquaker with Eunhyuk rapping and oh god, for a moment I was terrified they'd get DBSK to perform with them but I realized how stupid that was after since obviously Yunho and Yoochun wouldn't have had time to rehearse anything with them. Like hell they'd remember the lyrics.
Hyukkie did a good job though - and came right onto our platform again too. He as all pimp in his white suit and fedora and shades. Baby's really grown up, and I think this concert has done an excellent job of making me like him more. I don't know. I've always thought his fail was adorable, but the concert...made me want to write him porn... He's really filled out too, btw. Still a skinny little stick thing (with no ass to fill out his jeans, trufax), but now a skinny little stick thing was some pretty defined arm muscles.
Anyway. I love KRY, they are amazing vocalists. The end.
M: When I watched them Friday, I almost cried with happiness when they performed. My heart seriously felt crazy full with joy because oh god they finally get to perform in Korea. I love them so much. Zhou Mi is not my favorite but pretty high up there - but seeing him live kind of eclipsed seeing almost everyone else. He's just...fucking gorgeous and tall and so, so smiley and I love him so hard. I screamed so hard for him. I want him to know he has fans who love him outside of China too.
Henry had muscles and it was weird for me, but still adorable. They did a great job with As Least I Still Have You and they were all clearly having fun with Me. Kyuhyun looked really happy singing that, though less of a wild excitement and more of a concentrated joy type thing. I don't know. I feel like, backstage, he kind of just hugged Zhou Mi and beamed at him and aslkdjflsk I can't even talk about shipping during this entry, okay? I'm seriously overwhelmed by how genuine and deep all of their friendships seem to be, and that makes me so, so happy.
Trot: Trot started off with a ridiculous video of the mighty morphin' SJ Trot, lmao. Kangin was dressed as a gorilla, Shindong was a cardboard robot, Eunhyuk was Wolverine with plastic knives between his knuckles, Sungmin was...idek on a motorbike, Teukie was Spiderman, and Heechul was the Red Ranger. I just. They're fucking crazy and silly and I love them. They're silly and fun in a way that seems just fun and not degrading, idk. Maybe because Heechul brings that with his personality.
They sang Superman, which everyone seemed to know, wearing little red capes. Then they did Rokkugoh aslkdjf I love Rokkugoh. Heechul did Genie leg movements again and flirted with Hyuk and Shindong and had his hair in Dara-style, the mini-palm tree style. Yes, yes, I love SJT so hard.
Happy: For Happy, all of SJ sang and danced - to Sunny and then Pajama Party. This was just a crazy running around time for people. I don't remember anything distinct except that Hankyung and Siwon and Heechul and Ryeowook and Kyuhyun and Yesung all made their way up to the platform where I was sitting at some point during the random running around.
Dance skit: Featuring Eunhyuk, Shindong, and Hankyung - they started off with a video of Hankyung with black hair in all black being ridiculously sexy as he danced and ho fuuuck he has a hot bod, you guys. But then Eunhyuk and Shindong came in to break up the hotness with...a lot of farting. Seriously, male humor. orz This segued into their dance skit, where they rolled out of bed in pajamas, did morning exercises where Hankyung was clueless and followed the other two's lead one beat too late, then stripped off their pants to show black jeans. They did a sexy dance with girls that sort of broke my brain (kind of like the sexy dance from last Super Show's dance battle), because Shindong was good, Eunhyuk was disturbingly sexy, and Hankyung pwned them all by being tallest and most well-built and with legs that go on for miles. At one point, the girl dancer hooked her leg up around his waist and I kind of just went alskdjfdks in my brain, because Hankyung needs het sex, RIGHT THIS INSTANT. Lots of it.
Then they stripped off their jeans and showed off their boxers, yes. They changed into basketball jerseys and did a faux-game dance and aslkdjf I don't know. They're all adorable and they fake-cried when it was time to "say goodbye to ELF" and my god, they are so ridiculously cute when fake-crying. I don't even know.
Group: Now that those are out of the way, I'll talk about the other group songs/perfs they did. Reeaallly out of order, as these were interspersed between solos and subgroup perfs too. For instance, Gee happened right after T, and Don't Don happened before M. But whatever. You'll get the gist. :3
--Puff the Magic Dragon - Kyuhyun sang this in English while everyone else acted a skit. Kangin was Puff the Magic Dragon, Shindong was the baby, and everyone else was random bugs/bad things/invaders, lmao. I can't even describe how retarded this was, but still amusing. I think I spent most of my time being in love with Kyuhyun's voice, though he forgot a line tonight (Sat) which makes me wonder how it'll show up on the DVD.
--Angela - Okay, so
gymnopediste said in her entry about Friday's concert that they'd performed Angela but I could not for the life of me remember it. I realized why when I watched on Saturday. They were singing Angela when they were all seated on the risers on stage together, completely goofing off and making out and, honestly, they could have been playing DBSK or KAT-TUN and I wouldn't have noticed.
So much cute fanservice - Eeteuk ran to sit right between Kangin's legs and tilted his head back and up and Kangin bent his head down. They were thisclose to a kiss when Ryeowook laughed and stuck his arm between their faces. HyukMin had a ridiculous cute moment too as Eunhyuk tried to kiss Min's cheek and Min sort of gasped in outrage and scooted away from him, pretending all sorts of offense. Eunhyuk went ;_; and Sungmin went >:|! and then Eunhyuk went *snuggle, inch closer* and Sungmin relented and let him give a him a kiss on the cheek. alsdjfslkd what. How are they so adorable.
Then there was random molestation of Siwon - lots of hugging. And Kyuhyun kept getting shoved until he fell of the risers and sort of lay on the floor, curled up. He was laughing when he got up though, to sing his line.
And Donghae, fuck me, when he sang, everyone started molesting him too. they were petting his hair and pulling up his shirt and showing off his abs (FUCK, YOU GUYS, DONGHAE HAS ABS FUCK FUCK they are not as ~defined~ or hardcore as Siwon's fabled chocolate, but holy holy fuck DONGHAE'S ABS WERE CLEARLY THERE AND OMFG) and then Eeteuk bent his head and kissed those abs. What. The. Everlasting. Fuck. I love these guys. I love Donghae. GIVE ME THOSE ABS ALSKDJF crying. He is so hot, I can't stand it.
--Gee - Not much to say here that hasn't been said. They were hilarious and amazing. Everyone screamed so hard for Kyuhyun and Ryeowook, the two unexpected members in drag. But they were obviously having so much fun. The crowd was hysterical and totally into it - singing all the lines and screaming "BABO" at the top of its collective lungs. Kangin was Tiffany, Heechul was Jessica, Ryeowook was Seohyun, Donghae was Yoona (aslkdjfslk ♥), Sungmin was in a wig tonight unlike Friday and oh god so so so so good at being a girl - Sunny, Kyuhyun was Sooyoung (lmfao), Eunhyuk was Hyoyeon, and Eeteuk was Taeyeon. Siwon was ostensibly Yuri without the drag - he kissed his bicep again, showing off his manliness.
Momentary tangent of HOLY FUCK HIS BICEPS. He stood on the platform right in front of me later on in the concert and was randomly flexing and HOLY FUCK HIS BICEPS. That's all I can say. He bulges. Manliness streams from his pores. @_@
--Don't Don - this happened way earlier than I'm talking about it but. Jesus fucking Christ on a broomstick, this might have been my favorite group performance. It's a hard call because I loved Neorago and U and Twins but...holy fuck. They prefaced this with a video of a gang fight; SJ v. random thugs. SJ led by fucked-up-angry-and-smoking-hot!Yesung, also featuring Eeteuk, Siwon, Hankyung, and Donghae. And they were beating up thugs in the rain. WET BOYS FIGHTING. Yes. Jesus.
Then they changed up the choreography for Don't Don so it was like a confrontational gang fight and alksdjflsk you guys I have such a kink for this. SUCH A KINK. IT WAS SO HOT. They started off on opposite crosswalks, then met in the middle where HanChul circled each other "confrotationally" (read: with tremendous, unspeakable amounts of sexual tension) and glared hotly and oh god, my hormones. They skyrocketed so hard at this performance. Then Donghae took Kibum's rap lines (crying, OTP forever, why can't I let them go?) and did this scene with Eunhyuk where they fake punched and kicked each other. It was so hot. I think I started shipping EunHae here, you guys. OTL OTL OTL Momentarily.
Henry was amazing but the crowd was still chanting "thirteen members", making me want to punch them in the face. In the bg, EunHae had another faux-fight/make-out session. And yeah. I told you guys Donghae was in a wifebeater with an armband and making me slightly delirious with his arms of sex, right? Because, fuck me, seriously. I would like to tap that.
aslkdjflsdk and then Kangin came right up on our platform to sing his lines. :D
--And then Twins. Holy fuck that was just...everything I said about U and seeing them perform old things now? So much hotter than it was back then, because they are so much hotter now than they were back then. I wanted to cry when Kibum's rap part came on though, because they left his voice in and didn't bother having anyone cover it. Oh Kibum. Oh Kibum, I miss him so much.
--Shining Star - This was the new Marry U, I guess. It was their song for the fans, so everyone was sitting on their stools in various places and singing at the fans. It was really sweet. Sungmin was on the platform by me and he. God his little face. He's adorable - and there was a moment where we made eye contact and he smiled this really adorable little smile and I kind of just died.
But I felt kind of like a bad fan too because I was so easily distracted by Donghae, sitting on the other side of the arena, who started crying during the song. Just a little. He teared up. Kangin and Ryeowook did too, that I noticed. Eeteuk was in tears nearly the entire time, totally unable to sing at least the last half of the song. He was smack-dab in the middle of the arena in the center stage and I'm sure he broke everyone's hearts. When his face showed up on screen, the entire stadium just sort of went "Awww".
--Sorry Sorry - This was the last official song of the concert. They started off with a gorgeous vid of filthy rich SuJu in nice black suits and classy ties and expensive watches, listening to records and pouring red wine into crystal glasses. I have no idea what the point of the video was except that everyone showed up around Kyuhyun, who was looking smoking hot as he listened to a record with his eyes closed, snapping his fingers to the beat. They all shook his hand, grinned, toasted him - welcoming him to SJ? Welcoming him to the club of hot and rich and successful businessmen? I have no idea, but it was definite eyecandy.
During this vid they played a slow, jazzed up remix of Sorry, Sorry, which was hot and which I also need in my life and on my playlist. Then they performed it in white suits, remixing the first bit with English and then carrying into the song as normal. Like, fuck, I love this song so much. Top 3, for sure.
After this, they stood around and said thanks and went off stage to screams of "Encore." We didn't have to wait long before a video popped up.
Encore: The video was Heechul narrating and illustrating a little story of all the members as animals. It was all in Korean but the gist of it went: Heechul was a black cat with his friend Donghae-the-fish on his head; Hankyung was a dragon that Heechul rode. They were on some journey and ran in to horse!Siwon and various other animal members. In the end they were gathered around a tower to rescue Rapunzel!Kyuhyun. I...don't understand, but lmao at Heenim's drawings. I love him.
--This led to SuJu Zoo and then performing some cute animal song with a stuffed version of their animal character on their head, wearing their character t-shirts, and waving the little character flags. Hankyung had this giant dragon on his head, lol, with a longass tail that kept tripping him up or that he would use to hit other people with. Siwon had a giant horse head that he eventually took off - Heechul found the head and did this whole theatric display of "Oh my god! Siwon's lost his head! Oh no! Whatever will we do? How will he survive without a head?!"
Donghae was a fish and beautiful and I'm so biased it hurts, but I love him love him alskdjflsdk I can't say this enough, but I'm sure you're all tired of hearing this so. Um. Moving on.
--Sapphire Blue - Another fun, get-eveyone-hyped-up song. Lots of running around. Don't remember much here either except that some members ran up to the second level and everyone shrieked and freaked out and just, yeah, it was fun and beautiful.
--Marry U - Not as sweet as last Super Show, because the fans were too distracted by the members running around to really sing in sync, haha. Donghae was up on the second level again but I wasn't anywhere close to him this time. :(
After this they lined up and said their thanks and goodbyes. They mentioned that DBSK had come (but had left before the encore) and then talked about SNSD - then the spotlight showed that about half of SNSD were sitting in the VIP section right behind where DBSK satt. There was screaming, it was cute, and then they bowed and left.
Everyone thought it was over. The lights even started to brighten. But just as people were getting up to leave, the lights went down, music went up, and everyone screamed. The members ran out again to Wonder Boy, and everyone was on their feet screaming, cheering, singing along. It was a high note to end on. When they finally ended things for real this time, they lined up in the center of the stage and bowed. They chatted with the fans. Asked if we knew who was missing - the scream "Kim Kibum" made me want to cry some more. Teukie then explained why Kibum couldn't be here and I didn't understand at all but all the fans sighed and made understanding, sympathetic noises.
Here, Fuu was distracted by ShiHan handholding and whispers. (And also!! She was tall and blond and in the corner of the standing section right by where they were standing and they totally noticed her and Heechul commented about her hair and how she was copying Geng's style or something, and Hankyung saw her and went :Db and askdj it made her life and I loled so hard watching because I knew it would. Amazing.) I was distracted by the other end of the line, however, where Heechul was waving around a fanmade picture of Kibum on a stick. Siwon had taken it from a fan and stuck it in his pocket earlier - while on the platform in front of me together, Heechul hugged him, discovered Kibum-on-a-stick and cackled in delight. He thought it was the greatest shit ever and waved it around when Eeteuk was talking about Kibum. He showed Donghae, who grinned and took it, and my shippy heart went ;___;, and later when Sungmin was fiddling with it, asking if they should toss it back to the fans like they did with other fanpresents/glowsticks/towels/whatever, Heechul snatched it back and held it behind his back. alskdjfd Heechul. Heechul loves his boys, and I love him.
Here I could do another mini-essay on Heechul and his friendships but I suppose I should just summarize by saying that probably my favorite part of this entire concert was not the sexy dancing or the general awesome. It really was having the opportuunity to witness firsthand how all of the members love each other - a real-life demonstration of their gratitude to their fans and, more importantly, their love for each other. They were all laughing and playing around - HanHae held hands and skipped, Kyuhyun and Eeteuk messed around, Kangin and Siwon shared a manly hug, people ass-patted each other a ton, etc. (Ass-patting was really in for these concerts - of each other and sometimes of themselves, haha.) It's not just about pairings; it was really touching to see that they all care about all of the other members, no matter who they are closest to.
(But god it was so obvious that Heechul has his boys: Siwon, Hankyung, and Donghae. Kibum, too, if he were there. And Jungmo counts too, as a side note. Heechul loves his boys and they are so much his. But I will fic out this urge to explain instead of essaying, yes?)
It was amazing. It reminded me why I seriously love this group of thirteen, fifteen, (fourteen?) guys. I do. Their friendships really, really get to me. This is why sometimes I say I wish I were in a boy band and I mean it this way. I mean that I want these kinds of crazy fierce friendships and ridiculous antics and laughter and support and - always. I envy them this most of all. I'm so proud of this, more than anything else. This is why I'm a fan, more than just music or fanservice or hot concepts like boys in suits. It's the variety shows and the offscreen friendships and the open demonstration at concerts - this is why I love Super Junior.
They make me happy and now I am going to be a huge crying mess. ♥
I know this account was biased as hell, but I really really love all the members. Seeing them live really made me realize that Ryeowook is incredibly adorable and talented, Eeteuk is actually kind of manly and a good leader, etc. As they filed off stage after that last Wonder Boy encore, Yesung lingered to pick up the remaining towels the staff had set out for them, used them to wipe off his sweat, and tossed them into the crowd, just to give the fans more stuff. Lmao, Yesung. I do like him a lot. I do. All fifteen. Never take back Henry or Mi or Kibum; they all have a share of my heart.
On a last note: seeing them live was amazing. And my biggest urge after Saturday's concert was god I need porn. Either to read it or to write it. skldf they were just that hot.
The only things that would've made the concerts better would be if they'd performed Why I Like You or if Kibum had made an appearance. Or, you know, if Donghae had taken my hand and swept me off my feet, but in the realm of actually possible things alskdjf just the first two lmfao.
Yeah. Pretty much epic. I'm so glad I got the chance to go - it's a lifetime's memory. ♥♥♥ I don't know if I'll ever grow out of this fandom, but I will never regret this trip, these concerts, this experience. This love.
Saturday morning,
We waited for hours until the ticket booth opened at 11am - but at least the weather was good!
And also, it reminded me of a line in
And Donghae. Donghae.
Somehow his faith is less loltastic to me than Siwon's, possibly because it's less in-your-face. I love him. ;_;
KRY: Sang alksdj
--Angela - Okay, so
So much cute fanservice - Eeteuk ran to sit right between Kangin's legs and tilted his head back and up and Kangin bent his head down.
This love.
