routines in february
It's February! How time flies.
Reading-wise, I'm still in the middle of my JJ/Yuri fic spiral, though I think finally taking a step back to get into all my awaiting books. Started "P.S. I Still Love You" by Jenny Han (sequel to "To All the Boys I've Loved Before") and so far it's still fluffy and cute. I've also got "City of Thieves" still waiting, and "The Trials of Morrigan Crow" and may at some point try another K.J. Charles ("Any Old Diamonds"). I always want to like her m/m books, but they always miss my id, and yet I keep trying. We'll see how this one goes if/when I get to it!
Going to the Houston symphony this afternoon to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with live musical accompaniment. The music always makes me nostalgic. I dipped briefly back into fandom about a month ago reading Percy-centric fics, but on the whole the fandom is not an active one for me anymore.
Work still busy but going well! Slowly starting to settle into a rhythm of working on various things at once, with varying deadlines. It's also exciting that we're doing a lot of topics I find personally interesting, such as this panel on Asian representation in film & TV and overcoming stereotypes and white-washing. There's also a fun one in late February on the weaponization of culture in politics featuring MSNBC's Ali Velshi.

I remember reading Percy fics, wayyyyy back in the day, and was always perplexed but how badly some of the fandom thought of him. I mean, in hindsight, distrusting Dumbledore is not a terrible crime.

Poor Percy indeed. Some of the Oliver/Percy are cute though! And there was one or two Percy/Marcus Flint that I enjoyed because I guess I do like that antagonistic dynamic evolving into more.
