I get an email this morning that says, essentially:

Instead of wasting your time with that, you should take this HP quiz! :D Name the top 200 characters mentioned in the series. It's...hard. I only got 132/200, and that was mostly from fic recall. I have definitely spent more time reading HP fic than the actual books.
Speaking of which, I want to read some H/D fic instead of writing my seminar paper. Hell, I'd rather do almost anything instead of writing this paper.

So our sorority's national board has decided to reform our pledging process and rename it "new member intiation" on account of various chapters being closed or suspended due to hazing violations. But, you know, everyone here thinks that the new process is way too easy and for wusses. Those of us who underwent hell to get here would resent all the newbies who got in without the same kind of suffering, so we're just going to ignore the new national policy and stick with hazing. Yeah bitches! Let's preserve our traditions of sisterhood: putting each other through uttery misery and stabbing each other in the back. Hope all y'all alums are cool with that.

Yeah...the fandom's not the same when the series isn't ongoing, I feel. Except maybe around the holidays with all the fic exchanges. That's still fun~

I WANNA PUNCH A BITCH IN THE FACE!! Hazing will NEVER be cool and they shouldn't do it anymore. When someone doesn't have to do something you had to do to get the same result, what do big girls do? Put on their big girl panties and deal. We suck it the fuck up. Sure we gripe, that's fair, but we don't do this kind of bullshit. Choosing to continue the hazing initiation is the attitude of a child. And maybe they banned it because it was DANGEROUS, not cuz it was too hard. Some people... >_>
