So right after I made my SPN/J2 pimp post... I started watching Gossip Girl. Quick as three episodes into the first season and I'm (predictably) shipping Chuck/Nate. And their respective actors. Oh god.



I've spent the day reading Chuck/Nate and Ed Westwick/Chace Crawford fics.

FML.

Fuck my life, Chace Crawford is pretty, so so pretty. I cannot stop staring at how pretty he is. And Ed is British. Are you witnessing the breakdown of my defenses here?

Oh god the show is so overdramatic and shallow but I spoil myself on wiki and it is entertaining anyway. Probably because I spend most of my time rolling my eyes and staring at the pretty pretty pretty on the screen. The boys, the girls, the sets~

But seriously, the fucked up Chuck/Nate BFFery in season 1 is aww-inducing, and their actors are young and unmarried and totally lived together for a while and are supposedly BFF irl too so I am all over that. Fandom is tiny though, really.

Dude, Ed/Chase don't need fic ok IT TOTALLY EXISTS. I mean: they live together, they talk about how they instantly clicked, just about ever candid photo out there has them together, they spend Thanksgiving together (Chase invited Ed to spend the holidays at his place in Texas!), etc.

As for Nate/Chuck - I am actually more intrigued by the potential of Chuck/Dan hate sex??? OTL CHUCK IS JUST SO SMARMY AND SNARKY AND DAN JUST DEADPANS. But yah there's not that much Nate/Chuck (or slash in general) since the fandom is mostly squawking illiterate heteronormative teenieboppers and Chuck/Blair are just so epic together.

There is just something about him that oozes charm despite being the biggest asshole on the planet, isn't there? I don't know - I loathed him in the pilot but he's probably one of the most interesting, layered characters (on a show full of weird and shallow characters orz). Blair too, which is probably why the Chuck/Blair relationship is intriguing.

Yeah, Chace/Nate is boring in comparison, but so nice to look at. 8D And I am tickled by the fact that he and Ed are BFF irl! I'm easy.

Well, I'm 8 eps into it now, actually. I just started reading fic 3 eps in! I am prodigious that way, what can I say? :D That said, you should go read the 5 I linked above! There really isn't much for this fandom so that's probably the extent of goodfic you'll see. ;__; But they are cute!

I FRIGGIN SHIP CHUCK/NATE AND CHACE/ED SO MUCH TOO. god knows how many times ive cried over their beautiful friendship in season 1 and 2 and 3. how chuck is such a basstard but still looks out for nate so much and takes care not to hurt his pride and 'just wants his best friend back'.
