Oh...dating... Let me show you my lack of enthusiasm, haha. (Long stories.) Actually I don't think I've ever done the stereotypical first date because all my exes started out as friends. I imagine it would be horribly awkward as I am a horribly awkward person with strangers. :(

The date went well! She's really sweet, but to be honest I'm not sure if I feel the spark with her, and maybe I'm overly picky but I want the spark to be there if I pursue anything serious. (I think she felt the same about me, though, so it's not like I am breaking her heart or she mine). It was a fun night though. We had dinner and chatted about books, even though I knew it was doomed when she said that she only read classics and then asked me what I was currently reading, and I coughed into my sleeve and said, um manga? And then she made a face of JUDGEMENT, and I was SAD.

Well, I personally think sparks can be developed (obviously, I keep dating friends haha but then again, I keep breaking up with them to...) so there might still be hope! Though it is sad when people read only classics. D: What about all the new books that have been written? And don't get me started about people's attitudes about manga. It's just one medium in which any array of awesome stories can be told, like through text or movies. Oh speaking of movies, there was this one hilarious/horrifying moment when I asked what movie she'd last seen in the theatres, and she said Inception. And then she mentioned, immediately, that she likes to write and there was this...expectant pause, like she was dangling a code word or something, and I thought SHIT SHE'S A FANFICCER.

uh.... lol my reply was like, two paragraphs because I FORGOT FORMSPRING HAD A WORD LIMIT.... rolls, but basically my laptop is really old, definitely on its way out, and I am secretly terrified that it will die on me one of these days. I do have some stuff backed up in CDs and external harddrives and whatnot, but because I'm constantly making new files, etc, I just generally have a lot of unbacked-up stuff on my computer.

.... that said, the journal thing would rely solely on me promptly putting stuff up on it, which, knowing me, might... not happen that promptly, haha. SO IDK maybe this is all a moot point after all...

I have a ballroom!AU atttempt #1 and a ballroom!AU attempt #2.... I started the arthur/eames one-of-them-wakes-up-five-years-in-the-future fic that someone requested for the holidays, I have a file of random sentences that I would one day like to turn/insert into fics, and then I have an attempt at coffeeshop!AU from back when you made that comment about a fic with every-cliche-ever. :3 rolls.
