I had this strange affection for Courier New font recently, but I think it's passed. I'm back to being in love with serif fonts now!

This is a strange but perhaps fitting introduction to this random entry, in which I bring pictures of my nails! And also the bag meme from papered.

Now the bag meme, which mostly consists of herocountry badgering me to take pictures of what's in my bag. I am not nearly up to par with possession of cutesy things. :(


【L】 My bag! Acquired here in Singapore. I affectionately think of it as my Heechul bag.

【R】 My crap. I pack a lot of crap into my bag. From top left: the red thing is my miniature wallet/cell phone holder. I carry cash, my debit card, and my phone in there. On top of it is my phone. Then my two giant packets of reading for my Human Rights in Asia class, on top of which is my notebook for class. On top of that - my skinny pens! :D In purple, green, and pink. My umbrella, my netbook, on top of which is my bus pass and my iPod, and then a bunch of cords and the adapter. Exciting stuff, yeah?

I'm sorry I do not have a better collection of adorable Asian things! On the other hand, I can put my hair in pigtails, pull on my skirt and kneesocks, and be your adorable Asian thing? /cranks up the aegyo to sickening amounts

Spent my morning reading good Chinese fic and being delighted by it in a totally different way. It's absolutely an excuse to improve my Chinese, but also just - eeee. Qmi fic! There are some things that just seem to hit closer to home in Chinese, like with dialogue. I'm not sure why.

But, you know:



I desperately want to write more but instead I need to pack. I'm leaving for Vietnam and Cambodia tomorrow! Feb 18 - Feb 27. I'll be missing out on the MV and album release, but it will also be nice to come back to everything already out.

I WILL RETURN WITH PICTURES, HAVE NO FEAR.

*it is not that I ~grew out of it~ or anything, but in middle school I realized that I was dropping these pens and breaking them at the rate of approximately EVERY SINGLE ONE, THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT THEM, so I had to stop the self-destructive behavior of attempting to accumulate them ;____; maybe I am less spastic now, maybe I should try again

I have reached the point of ~maturity~ where I am not aiming for thinnest pens ever but am comfortable with .38 and .4. I still prefer them over .5 but .25 and so on just get unfun for me. Also, my handwriting sucks anyway. 8D

YES AND IT'S NO FUN and you don't get nearly enough pretty ink. That said, I actually prefer ballpoint if it's going to get as thin as .38. But I am happy with my .4 Hi Tec C pens. :D

alskgjdf I will write you something soon! When you are in grad school poring over your books in a cold place by a window with the flickering light at your study desk. Or do a handwriting meme, whatever. It is not that exciting. My handwriting changes all the time because I am, um, fluid and full of multitudes. Yes.

also isn't courier new a serif font? i distinctly remember it having serifs. in fact i'm TYPING IN COURIER NOW, being that it's the font for comment boxes.

akdghjfl lmao you. That is actually the first thing I noticed about the video (it was a video first, of course) but then I was distracted by the hugging.

ALSO I THINK WE'VE HAD THIS CONVO BEFORE but everyone I know in the States spells it "dialogue" and we write "prologue" and "epilogue" and such too. I don't know anyone who drops the "ue" off the end, actually... That just looks weird to me. (Though LJ's spellcheck is actually underlining "dialogue" for me so I think they think "dialog" is correct and that is just VERY STRANGE. Huh. I've always seen it "dialogue", all my life.)

Hmm actually yes, Courier New is a serif font. I guess in my head I associate it more with being a monotype font. But they are not mutually exclusive, I suppose.

HI MEI, I have failed at flisting for the last two days, which explains in hindsight why I didn't know you were leaving for vietnam/cambodia until you told me on im, haha. OOPS. but omg, your nails - I love the shiny tips, and eeeeeeeee mermaid green! I love shades like that, :3 :3 :3.
