haha no I don't mean literally greasy; it's more to mean that smooth slick charismatic charm? But to such a concentrated extent it's kind of gross? 8D For example, Donghae is greasy when he tries to use all those over-the-top saccharine pick-up lines in Chinese haha. Adorable but askdhfdj greasy.

I haven't actually read Skip Beat either, but that won't stop me from watching the drama! Not sure when it'll be out, but they're still in the middle of filming, so probably not for a bit yet.

delurking to comment because this is just too adorbs♥ i love skipbeat sooo much; so i legitly was all mehhh when they casted shihae for the mains. and not to mention i know nothing about ivy chen. but now looking at the pics and trailer, i actually feel hope! lol. the casting's actually perfect! siwon makes an A+ ren(just based on mannerisms) and sho!hae is gg to be oddly adorable-sexy.

I've been reading the manga, AND OMFG THE GIRL IS HILARIOUS AND CAN'T KEEP HER THOUGHTS TO HERSELF AND IT'S HILARIOUS.

I hope her acting is good over a longer span of time too, of course. Then again, I start with low expectations of dramas because it is harder to be disappointed and easier to be pleasantly surprised that way, heh.

I adore manga but I am lacking time to really sink into a lengthy series like Skip Beat right now - maybe later! I will wait til after the drama airs, though I may never look at manga!Sho the same way after I've seen Donghae's version.

I was thinking that too! The trailer is terrible for anyone who has no idea of the manga it's based on - it's pretty much relying solely on Siwon's face and Donghae's adorableness to draw in viewers. Hey, whatever marketing works, right?
