You can tell the entire kpop portion of my flist has left LJ when 5jib is out and there's not a single post about it. To be honest, I totally failed to pay attention too and only found about the album post-release.

Three things:

1. This is what SJ4 should've been. I didn't like the teaser, was iffy on the MV, but the live perfs have really sold me on it. Fuck yeah, choreo and suits with some color, and no greased-up chests! (You're old, SuJu. Age with grace! Own your age: Don't pull a JYP and try too hard to be young when you no longer are.) The song is not great but, damn, it earworms.

2. Donghae, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook included HenMi♥ in their Thanks To. They also included Geng. Oh boys, my heart. ;_____;

3. Donghae and Kyuhyun can get in my pants. Together or individually; I don't mind.

...watching today's comeback on KBS (the outfits got so much worse, bah), I just realized what Teuk is saying during his part in Superman. Fuck that noise.


In happier news: I'm finally watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and it is fantastic. And adorable. :D

I have missed you, specifically because of comments much like this one.

I thought maybe it was me with the lack of posting, though I have seen one or two. I loved the teaser, only to be upset when I found that music was nowhere on the album. The title song did nothing for me until I saw the mv. I will admit to the shallowness of watching it over and over just to see their faces. They look durn good. Real good. Real real good. The word you used was earwormed right? Yeah that happened.

I have yet to see the live perfs, but you hit the head on the nail about them aging gracefully. It is lovely to see.
It is not a blockbuster, breakout album of songs but I like the majority of them and don't have a hard time listening. More of a slow and steady kind of thing.

I think people migrated to Twitter! Which is one place I don't use anymore, so I only hear about the Twitter-flail but don't actually witness it.

I really enjoyed yesterday's outfits far more than today's. I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings!

I find it a little awkward and tasteless to sing a song about how awesome you are. That said, I do really like the song itself; better that I tune them out so I don't understand it!

I have never used Twitter, I think I spend more than enough time online Twitter would probably make me lose what's left of my meager store of brain cells.

I knew I was confused for a reason. I had not even heard of Superman until you mentioned it and then finally got to see it on Youtube. Thank you for the translation lyrics but it is definitely one of those cases where it sounds better without really knowing what they are saying. We totally enjoyed the song itself and the Mr. Simple performance was fantastic. I prefer the live performances anyway. I like them best when they've done them a time or three and have a sense of how it works in real life on stage and has been fine tuned a little bit.

I lobe that they are loving each other too. One of my favorite tracks on the album is actually "Good Friends"

Yesung and Eunhyuk kinda made me sit up and take notice. Don't know if it was the hair or the lips or the voice. With Eunhyuk it was the mouth. I am finding myself fascinated with his mouth. The other one, well it is Yesung so it isn't that surprising.


I expect most of any fanfic to appear, if any, will focus even more on Leeteuk and Heechul enlisting, huh.

I agree about fine-tuning the performances; Sorry Sorry, for example, looked much better after they figured out their little quirks.

Because I am a derp who likes to read too much into things, I sort of blame that line for his mixed feelings (though it's probably just because he knows they're going into the military soon and he won't see a few of them for a while after these promotions end).

I did see his tweets! He is the sweetest supporter. :D I took his mixed feelings to mean that he was kind of sad that he couldn't be up on stage with them, doing a comeback... Which made me :/. That line, though. I'm pretty much set to irrationally dislike the number 13 forever. HenMiii. They should never be unhappy.

On the bright side, Siwon tweeted him and told him to call when he got the tweet. Cute!

Yeah, I think I get a little oversensitive when the number 13 is mentioned in regards to SJ.

Jungmo tweeted that he wanted Henry to come back to Korea too. Unfortunately, Jungmo's grasp of English is even more tenuous than Heechul's so it came off more as awkwardly adorable than Siwon's genuine-ness. End result is the same; everyone (who is sane) loves Henry \o/

SJM is doing a fanmeet in Bejing this month though, so at least it won't be FOREVER until we see HenMi doing SJ stuff again.

Yeah I'm frankly sort of terrified of what Henmi's Japanese will be like... Some of the maingroup members are nearly unintelligible on their Japanese tracks. Most likely, they'll just release it, maybe do a fanmeet or something, and then just let it alone. They have no one who is even close to fluent in Japanese to help them along there really (though I've heard that Sungmin and Henry took Japanese classes at some point).

And yesss, Kyuhyun's mentioning of M in the presscon made me grin like a moron.

The MV outfits and yesterday's comeback outfits were much more tasteful than the horrible promo pics! Today's outfits...were essentially the promo pics. Cringe-inducing, yes. I'm not terribly into any kpop anymore, but SJ is that last lingering interest, and mostly for my few biases. And morbid curiosity.

Oh I love CN Blue's music too! I just am not very invested/interested i nthe group (beyond the WGM stint with Seohyun). I think they debuted after I'd already hit maximum capacity with my ability to care. >_> But they get mad props for the music, which is not all just autotuned dancey pop. (Though, I guess to be fair, the non-single songs on SJ's albums tend to be ballads. And I still adore SJM's latest mini-album without reserve.)

alksdfj omg Ifrit, no, I really want to have Serious Episode Discussions but also filled with flail. Like, Sonic Rainboom, for instance, it was really nice to see Rainbow Dash not as brash and confident as usual, but vulnerable, but of course in the end HER LOYALTY shines through. I knew she was going to save Rarity AND IT WAS SO GREAT AND THE RAINBOOM WAS EPIC ;_____; and FLUTTERSHY WAS GREAT AND HILARIOUS. I love her aksfjd I love that she got to "break character", too, so to speak.

And even though every episode has ~a lesson about friendship~ and you can tell the set-ups often from the beginning (Bridle Gossip, for instance), I don't even mind because, duh, it's a kid's show, but also - they are good lessons to teach. ;__; And they tell them in a fun way.

Definitely agree Bridle Gossip was clumsily handled - too ham-handed/overbearing, I think. It's not one of my favorite episodes for that reason. Haven't hit the Native American bison one yet!

I like the ones that are actually about friendship better. :( Like lakdjf I forgot - the one with the Race of the Leaves, and Griffon Brush-Off. Griffon Brush-off surprised me a lo! I mean, I could tell it was going to be one of those good friend vs. bad friend, bully type episodes, but the way it ended with Pinkie Pie being genuinely sincere and not actually pulling one over Griffon like I'd thought--- ;___; PINKIE. ♥ One of the reasons I love her.

It's so great that they all have their more dominant personality traits, but we get to see the complementary traits as well, the good and the bad. For example, even with Apple Jack, who is definitely painted more oh shucks honest than Rarity, has a temper, lets competitiveness get away with her, stubbornness, etc.

Pretty much THEY ARE ALL GREAT.

Thisssss, I love that their faults are ACTUALLY FAULTS, ones that they struggle with and try to curb. ♥ omg Mei when you get to the Party of One episode, you have to tell me what you think about that for sure, because that one is all about the complementary dark side of Pinkie Pie but I can't decide whether it goes too far or whether it's just unhinged / shocking / terrifying enough. At any rate it doesn't make me love Pinkie Pie any less, but it... really is a pretty depressing episode, and it doesn't have a proper denouement that solves things like the other episodes do. And Fluttershy in the season finale, when we get to see her complementary side for real! I think that was my favorite moment with her in the entire season!
