Or...keep on with your badass solo activities while I continue frolicking over here in Teen Wolf fic (this fandom is hilariously and terrifyingly huge/popular and it boggles my mind) and hockey hockey hockey (I maybe might maybe possibly might get to go to a Pens-Flyers playoff game, so cross your fingers for me!).

In any case, I like how half my kpop friends are getting back into kpop for EXO. I know nothing about them and you can't suck me in! But I hope you're having fun? :D?

No, seriously, I don't even know how many members there are in total or how many are in M versus how many are in K and apparently they have Korean members in M and...maybe(?) Chinese members in K? And do martial arts? I assume they also sing and dance and from Tori's tweets I've gathered one is a clone of Taemin...

Feel free to tell me about them but just know up front that in return I'll probably just go :D? So how about Big Bang? I should watch their Japanese shows...

(But no kpop people are on LJ anymore, are they?)

Who would you be cheering for if you went to a Pens/Flyers game? The thing about my completely inorganic introduction and initiation into hockey is that I have knowledge and interests in players from all sorts of different teams so it ends up that I pay A LOT OF ATTENTION to news happening all around the league as opposed to really caring about one team, as most of my friends do. So it looks as if I'm a diehard hockey fan when ... okay maybe I am sort of turning into one (ALBEIT VERY RELUCTANTLY. IF IT CAME DOWN TO IT I WOULD CARE WAY MORE ABOUT BASKETBALL, BUT WITH BASKETBALL I ACTUALLY DO CARE A LOT ABOUT THE RAPTORS DESPITE THE FACT THAT I BARELY EVEN RECOGNiZE THE TEAM ANYMORE D: AND THE RAPTORS MAKE ME SAD SO THEN I GIVE UP IN DESPAIR.) But the point is that I don't even have a team that I really root for.

I am not bothering with EXO lol, have not listened to their song or watched the videos and I don't plan on it really. tbh I've lost a lot of interest in kpop as of late, but that's probably because i'm busy being saturated with like, five other fandoms atm.

I WOULD CHEER FOR ERIC STAAL, THE BEST STAAL. haha nah, I know what you mean. I have my home team/teams of my heart, but learning about hockey via fandom rather than through local fans incepting loyalty in a certain team means we're far more spread out over the map. I like players from both the Pens and Flyers but if I were going (which is actually looking less likely because of my batshit work schedule nooooo), I would be going with a die-hard Flyers fan and she would push me down and stomp on me if I pulled for the Pens, haha. As, uh, evidenced in the above comment.

I've been out of kpop forever (except for Big Bang!) too and so were most of my old kpop friends, so it's funny to see them sort of getting back sucked in thanks to EXO. WHATEVER. JEFF SKINNER.

and i always get to the party late for all updates ever b/c you know, time zones.

Ugh, love love love SJM forever. I can't believe it's been four years now, that's so ridiculous. I hope they still have a comeback this year, though at least right now everyone's busy with solo activities and I'm cool with that. Zhou Mimi's birthday is this month too~ :D

So Tazer's in Wing, right, and shooting down the various mecha suits converging on him because I no longer remember the weird names they all had, and he's totally blown up and has a concussion and but he is DETERMINED TO FIGHT THROUGH THE PAIN AND KEEP GOING FOR THE SAKE OF uh THE COLONIES and...PEACE and whatever.

And he totally hates Kaner, who's in this freaking awesome all black and stealthy Deathscythe suit because Kaner thinks he's so cool. He's so damned flashy. Except, okay, Deathscythe is kind of the opposite of flashy since it's supposed to be all sleek and ninja-like, which it kind of is for being a ginormous suit of armor that can blow shit up.

Whatever. Kaner annoys the shit out of Tazer because it's like he can never take anything seriously except that's not even true - he does. Despite his playful grin and the way he jokes around Tazer all the time, Tazer doesn't miss the way his eyes flash and get all intense when he's focused. When he gets really intense, the look in his eyes sharpen and he doesn't get any quieter -god, he's probably louder, the way he swears and yells, but he gets deadly when he's on his game.

That's what Tazer hates the most about him, that Kaner is actually so good in that suit, that he's deadly, and yet he is such an irritatingly loud and cheerful person outside of it. Jesus Christ.

"Your problem is that you're way too serious," Kaner tells him, slinging an arm around him. Tazer thinks about shrugging him but then Kaner would just find another excuse to touch him and distract him so - whatever. He'll put up with it.

"I'm just focused," Tazer says.

Kaner snorts. "Yeah, with that concussion? Not so much. Good thing we got you patched up. You're sitting out the next few fights."

"Fuck you." I do what I want.

Except Tazer's not that stupid and he knows he can't get in Wing and pilot her with his head fucked up like it is. It makes him antsy, though, and frustrated. And if he didn't know how pointless it'd be, he'd go around punching a few walls. As it is, he has to sit around and watch Kaner and Sharpy and the others gear up into gundams and take down the Nucks and he hates every second of it. He can't stop critiquing their formations, their strategies in his head, how he'd do it different, better.

He has a migraine by the time the fight's over and Kaner's climbing out of Deathscythe, sweaty hair curling over his brow and grinning wide. "Cheer up, Captain Serious," he says. "We won, didn't we?"

Tazer just grimaces at him but he doesn't say anything when Kaner runs an affectionate, easy hand over his head, almost petting him. It eases the headache, even though he'd never admit.

"Relax," Kaner says, and his voice is soft like it rarely is. "We got this. We got you."

His hand is warm and gentle and Tazer closes his eyes and tips his head back into it. He lets out a breath. Yeah. Maybe they do.

SJM has definitely changed a lot since their debut four years ago! They've got a much more polished/slick image for their MVs and stuff now - although they're still as hilariously dorky in their variety shows. ♥ My favorites forever.
