Surprisingly impressed by and really into it!! I love that it's an essence entirely a story about women.

Other thoughts, so many thoughts, that require me to string together sentences but I already babbled that in person to starflower135. Basically it was great and thoughtful and kept all the familiar fundamental bits of the Snow White story with surprising new adaptations. ALSO SO PRETTY. SO MUCH PRETTY IMAGERY.

And while Chris Hemsworth did nothing for me as Thor, he was really hot as the huntsman. Uh. It might be the beard. (Thanks, hockey.)

YES like you know going in that they'll be changing some things, obviously, but you don't know what's going to change or what's going to stay the same, so i think a huge part of the enjoyment for me was seeing what they played around with and how. *__*

False! She's amazing. She goes through a whole raaaange of facial expressions - sometimes more subtle than others, but she's really, really great. (Also, gorgeous!)

Not nearly as bad as Twilight though some throwbacks. Definitely not as good as Charlize Theron, but on the whole a few of her shakier scenes I was willing to overlook because she had her good moments too and the rest of the movie!! Was really interesting/visually gorgeous.

Well obviously you should see it for yourself and form your own opinions, since I'm sure not everyone is expecting the same things out of the movie. I just really enjoyed how the story is driven by the women and not the romance, because it's a story about Snow White and the Queen and not even that much about the Huntsman, despite the title, or any fairy tale romance.

I watched the midnight release. Everything was fantastic except Stewart. Which makes me a little sad because although she's far from a perfect person, she seems nice enough.

Just ouch, that acting.

haha well she's not Charlize Theron, obviously, and there were moments where I was like "Bella Swan, is that you?" but on the whole I don't think she was that terrible. It's possible I was more forgiving just because i really enjoyed the rest of the movie in terms of visuals, theme, story adaptation, characters, etc. I liked the little unexpected twists but also the tributes to the Disney version.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from. I think the main issue for me is that by having to act alongside Theron and Hemsworth it kind of pitted her acting skills against theirs which...

But holistically? Pretty much fantastic.
