Things I have learned this week:

- browsing Etsy is an absolute time suck of OH GOD I WANT ALL THE THINGS. YES I TOTALLY NEED FIVE DIFFERENT EREADER CASES AND ABOUT TEN DIFFERENT PURSES. YES.
- for all the issues (yes many of them defensive and many of the stemming from my own identity crises /same old song and dance) I have with how lulztastic America suddenly finds PSY and Gangnam Style (maybe more meta another day), I love Britney and Ellen learning the dance from PSY mostly because I like Britney and Ellen
- AMERICANS CANNOT PRONOUNCE "GANGNAM" JFC IT'S RIGHT IN THE SONG. MULTIPLE TIMES.
- I have a reflexive hatred of people who talk just to hear their own voices, who aren't friendly and chatty but who just have a relentless need to make sure you hear their opinion and also know how witty/clever/different their opinion is
- if you go on Tumblr at work (our work doesn't care), and the guy next to you has a Tumblr and sees you on it, he's going to be like, "hey, I'm going to follow you!" and then you're going to be like, "oh jesus, I hope you like gay teenage werewovles..."
- if a fic summary has something like "get's" in it, you are better off not reading the fic at all
- I want scoooooooooooooooooooones. Scones with clotted cream and jam! Warm scones with tea!

Alas, tragically, I'm pretty sure 99.9% of all fics with spelling/grammar mistakes in the summary don't fall into any exception.

I'm always so grateful for people who are thoughtful enough to put "get's" in their summary because then I don't have to read 500 words in only to find something like "Your going to have to reign it in."

I am so sad about hockey, Mei, sooooo sad. I was going to possibly be able to see Parise and Suter play BROSHIE when I'm on a work trip to St Louis in a couple weeks. And that's not even considering Flyers v Hawks or the Hawks Training Camp Festival I'm going to miss.

OH GOD I AM SAD TOO. Lille & I will probably go up to Philly on the 25th anyway (since I already took off work) and just...wander around eating cheesecakes and wailing about hockey.

BUT BROSHIE. THAT IS SUPER TRAGIC. I THOUGHT YOU HATED HIM? BUT BROSHIEEEEEEEEE. I now have to see if St. Louis plays at DC at any point in the new year when hockey is hopefully back.

Things I have said when reading Teen Wolf fic:

- Did you just have them drive from Atlanta to LOS ANGELES in two days? Seriously? Where are you from?

Well, I capped Broshie to kind of suggest my horror at being excited to see him. But, you know, seeing ANY NHL hockey is like super exciting to me. And also, I think I only hate Broshie in his fictional form, the one who Kaner has to feel wretchedly jealous of. The Blues player I'm secretly most excited to see is Backes, which, what the fuck. He's horrible to my Blackhawks and such a cocky asshole but i kind of love him. These hockey dudes, I don't even know, they turn my well-ordered universe upside down.

I'm also sick of Kaner having to be jealous of him; that is weird to me. But I'm also craving Tazer/Broshie longfic with supportive asshole bro Kaner so. My views may be skewed.

I have to avert my gaze from the very words Tazer/Broshie. Once I get invested in an OTP I'm on that ship for good. But I just remembered...wasn't there a fic, a WIP maybe, where there was an alternate universe Tazer who was sad and divorced from Broshie, and he ends up here with Kaner, while our Tazer goes to Broshie!world. Does that ring a bell, or am I getting it mixed up with some other fandom? I'm actually sick in bed today with a 101 fever, so if that sounds hallucinogenic and crazy pls ignore.

I have no idea if that fic exists; I've never come across it, I don't think, but my memory is like a sieve, so who knows? I do remember reading one where it was Kaner/Tazer and Backes/Broshie endgame but along the way there was Kaner/Backes and I was like, whoa. What's happening?

Thankfully for my wallet that's probably one area where I won't lose too much time pining over, mostly because I am the laziest of lazy when it comes to underthings. Probably helps that I have no boobs whatsoever lol so looking at pretty lingerie just makes me think "it's not gonna look like that on me..."

Some topics deserve rants! But I feel like in that case you're not talking just to hear your own voice and you wouldn't be opposed to actual convo after. Work just makes me disagreeable.
