brilliance at work
Today I had a couple brilliant moments where
1) I realized, oh, sitcom is an abbreviation of situational comedy ha ha ha. How on earth did that escape me for so long, especially when romcom is shorthand I've personally used for romantic comedy?
2) I forgot English for a moment and stared at the word "plow" and had no idea how to pronounce it. Does it rhyme with "how"? Does it rhyme with "toe"? Is it spelled "plough"?
Why does plow not rhyme with tow which rhymes with dough which does not rhyme with rough? WHAT THE FUCK, ENGLISH.
I blame Teen Wolf for deteriorating my brain, but that's a poor excuse but I wasn't doing that great before that. D: Dammit, brain!
At least I can use the deterioration as an excuse for how I started reading One Direction fic out of boredom and curiosity and then accidentally found myself shipping Zayn/Niall, right? or maybe I just ship Niall. I know nothing about him except that he's blond and Irish but I sort of characterize him as a friendly dumb puppy who likes food and affection in my head. Don't tell me otherwise!

My only thoughts on last night's presidential debates are this.

niall/other people is hard to come by b/c bb is the least loved of 1d fandom-wise so good fic with him is difficult to find just in general :( i did read this (http://archiveofourown.org/works/437589) niall-centric genfic which was pretty good though!

though think about it this way: English is much easier to learn than Mandarin Chinese (let alone other dialects like Cantonese).
