2012 End of Year Fandom meme
Since I wrote nothing this year (a few odd comment/chatfics for hockey don't count, alas), I guess I finally break the streak of doing the End of Year Fic Meme. Maybe SJM's comeback will get me writing again. Maybe I've forgotten how entirely...

Your main fandom of the year?
Hm, I would have to say Teen Wolf, because I was reading for that even before I got into hockey fandom (back when there was only 600 fics on AO3! jesus, I feel like a hipster, but it's Teen Wolf, it's like the opposite of hipster) and continue to read for it. That said, who knows what would be different if I had an actual NHL season to renew the intensity of my hockey feelings every week? Damn you, NHL! I was looking forward to the emotional rollercoaster of being an Untrue Fan™ and sobbing over my teams playing each other, all three of them being in the Eastern Conference and two out of three being in the same Southeast Division...
No, let's be real though, Canes > everyone. I wanted to see two Staals, a Skinner, and a Semin on the ice too! Ugh, sulking forever.
Your favourite film you watched this year?
Have I mentioned recently I'm abysmal at watching movies? I have to see things in the theater so I have zero distractions or I need to watch things with other people so they keep me focused. For new movies, I'd probably have to go with Pitch Perfect though, because it was funny, charmingly offensive (and equal opportunity about it at least, even if the main romance was completely forgettable), and had great singing. SING MORE.
Your favourite book read this year?
I feel like all I ever read is fic, Georgette Heyer, and Agatha Christie. Occasionally Pterry. One of these days I will remember how to read books by other people too, I swear. Anyway, my favorite from this year (I think it was this year) was probably Arabella.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year
This was the year I accidentally found One Direction ridiculously catchy. Apparently your music tastes are hardwired into you by the time you're a teen or something, which explains why I will forever enjoy bubblegum pop, be it awesome 90s stuff or kpop or tiny British boys who look eternally 16 and squick me out because they remind me of my brother BUT I DIGRESS.
My favorite album this year, hands down, Big Bang's Alive. /loops the entire thing forever
Your favourite TV show of the year?
Running Man! Also super enjoying Elementary and Top Chef.
Your favorite DW/LJ community of the year?
I...have spent this entire year lurking... What is community interaction? I do not know!
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
...hockey. Dammit. I will also say this was the year I started to hate everything about Sherlock's main actors, but I can't feel bad about it because they were the ones who said terrible things. I am disappointed that I won't enjoy Sherlock S3 nearly as much as I did the first two seasons though.
Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
JEFF SKINNER - oh god no he's so tiny, wait. Ginger Claude Giroux, please. Or Tyler Hoechlin, who is legitimately made of sunshine and sparkly hearts. Dylan O'Brien can go FUCK OFF I HATE HIM ARGH. I wouldn't want to date him, maybe just do awful things to him. :(
Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
I mad-crushed on Holland Roden earlier but the feelings have been on the wane with her Ayn Rand fondness. In the meantime, my affection for Crystal Reed has been growing. So tall, so pretty, so totally adorable with Daniel Sharman.
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Seeing that thehoyden had posted Teen Wolf fic? Watching the Flyers crush the Pens in the first round of playoffs? Oh! STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS TRAILERS FUCK YEAH.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
SJM COME BACK TO ME, COME BACK TO ME NOW. Also, as always, hd_hols makes me incredibly nostalgic for the halcyon days of HP.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
Star Trek Into Darkness asldkghasldkfj. And watching whether or not the entirety of the NHL is going to implode into nothing but bitterness.
