You're a thief and a liar! / I only lied about being a thief.

HAPPY SPRING! Dresses and skirts cranked up to the max and I am gleeful.

April will be an excellent month, because I have deemed it so, regardless of what happens with hockey. Or my body evolving into a higher-form of myself, which apparently is a form that is lactose intolerant and possibly riddled with disease. (I think my body is convinced I was supposed to perish in the 2012 apocalypse and is thus confused about why the hell I'm still around.)

Movies I am looking forward to in May: STAR TREK.

And also this:

JESSE EISENBERG. All of my feelings for him just fell out of my body as I clawed at my screen.

According to the internet, you will like this movie if you enjoyed Ocean's Eleven and Inception. HEIST MOVIES, YOU SAY? I believe I even have that in my userinfo as a relevant interest. In spades. Punintentional? Perhaps.

Someone is going to see this with me, and they are going to be covered in my Jesse Eisenberg feelings when we leave. I'm sorry if that sounds terrible, but it's just a fact.

(Having just watched the Ocean's Eleven trailer though, it's so strange to see how differently trailers are edited and presented these days, 12 years on.)

MAY 31. This is relevant info I definitely should've included in the post.

SOON!! ish.

Not soon enough, but better than it was when I first heard about it! I need a Jesse icon now that I have icon space again...

It's only 2 weeks after Star Trek for me, so it will pass by quickly enough. :D I HAVE WAITED FIVE YEARS FOR THIS ST SEQUEL.

But usually I am totally abysmal at movies so the fact that there are two in one month I want to go see in theaters is exciting to me haha.

Yess, Jesse's face all over your icon, you want that.

[identity profile] theafterimages.livejournal.com 2013-04-08 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I basically never want to go see movies tbh. I am a books & television girl. But this is one movie I will happily make an exception for!

Jesse's face all over allllll the icons!

Look at his scruff!

Trust me, I am looking.

Heh.

OMG I just saw that trailer the other day. I cannot wait! It is marked on my calendar now. A pretty great cast too.

Also, the body changes every five/seven/ten years and things you used-to-could do or eat or not be allergic too, go flying out the window. (Which is probably why the world is flooding with ways/recipes for healthy food that tastes good!)

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2013-04-09 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I always knew my body would give out on me. ;__; I have been too lucky mostly up til now. But foood, I love you! Having to think about what I eat is definitely something good overall though.

Yes! It looks like a great cast and hopefully a fun movie. :D

CANNOT WAIT

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2013-04-09 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
ME EITHER. Maybe I should rewatch Ocean's 11 and Inception in preparation.

Sounds like an excellent plan.

You're finally getting spring! Yay! Cute sundresses are the best :D

A couple weeks ago I had a week where every time I ate a wheat product, I'd get a stomach ache. As I imagined a life without gluten, I got kind of sad. Cake ;___; luckily it seemed to pass? So it might just be a temporary thing? Or idk, have you been to the doctor?

It is interesting, and if you ever want to expand on that I'd love to hear more. According to the Nostalgia Chick, Michael Bay's Transformers has had a huge impact on action movies and film making in general. More to despair, but interesting how one film can have such an influence.

Oooh, lactose intolerance is rough but wheat allergy would be so much worse, especially since it's an allergy and not just an inability to break it down properly, which means it's uncomfortable but at least not dangerous if I eat dairy. I may give some dairy another shot in a bit and see how I feel, but I did buy some Lactaid to be on the safe side.

I didn't have too many deep thoughts on the differences! Never really studied filmography and too abysmal at watching movies generally to have insight commentary. Mostly I just noticed that the O11 trailer did the funny voiceovers talking to the audience the way praody trailers still do, but is really rare in actual trailers these days. And the way they edit together the different scenes to give a different feel - I mean, obviously they're different movies, but for being two similar heist movies, O11 had far more emphasis on the talking and NYSM seems to try to include the more exciting physical action parts. Also cutting together the voiceover summary from actual quotes from within the movie. Things like that.
