hello into the void
I really have so little to update over here these days; hockey has been a laugh. That the Canes are in the top three of the Metro Div is laughable (but, hey, I'm not complaining). The Blues are doing well though! It's early in the season... I went to Oilers @ Caps this past Monday (10/14) and that was fun drunken antics. I have lots of random pictures of the Oilers; now if only I was in an Oilers forum to share with anyone who cared, haha.
In Premier League news, I am also surprised by Liverpool being consistently near the top of the table - but they at least are playing well enough to merit it, unlike the Canes. So I'll just take that and enjoy it while I can.
Can I just say that Elementary continues to make me happy every week? I just really enjoy all the characters and their development, and even the silly and sometimes OTT crime plots. I wonder if I should pick up Sleepy Hollow since everyone seems to love it lots, but I just am so terrible at watching things.
On a different note, Tiffany being Tom Hiddleston's guide through Korea was a mind-boggling bit of fandoms clashing. They're adorable though.
I have vague plans to do some work today, finish Graceling, and maybe read some manga. Oh manga, why do I never have the attention for you? Is anyone following One Piece still? Is it excellent still? I want to catch up from where I stopped (over 100 chapters ago), but I also always feel, after going so long between chapters, that I should just start from the beginning and reread everything. 725 chapters though - OP, you're killing me. At least Yotsuba&! is episodic and easy to keep up to date with.
KomaHoshi is two volumes away from being fully scanlated! ♥♥♥ That will merit downloading and a full reread.
This is such a pointless post. My fandom life has meandered recently, possibly a reflection of RL being pretty consistently busy.

I don't pay attention to football these days, but I'm excited about the World Cup next summer! Haha, that'll definitely muster up some enthusiasm. \o/

I can't believe all those Shounen Jump series have been going on for so long. Over a decade! @___@ At least with OP I think they'e still on the main original story (sailing around the world, in search of the one piece), but I have no idea what's going on any more with Naruto...
