Sneaking in my 2013 fannish end-of-year memes under the wire!
Your main fandom of the year?
I spent 90% of this year drowning in belated TSN (RPF) feelings. Don't look at me. I kept up with hockey, football, and American football too, but not in any particularly fannish capacity. In December, I dipped a toe in swimming RPS because I endlessly crave douchebros in love.
Your favourite film you watched this year?
Frozen, probably! For I am biased towards Disney and I liked the music a lot, and it made me laugh. Depiscable Me 2 was also cute, and Pacific Rim was much more than I expected, and STID was fun.
Your favourite book read this year?
"Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies" by Chris Kluwe. "Hyperbole and a Half" was also good, but the former had more new content for me.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year
Tie between G-Dragon's "Coup D'Etat" album and Lee Hyori's "Monochrome" album. Although I, uh, really got into Fall Out Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light It Up)". I blame the Flyers.
Your favourite TV show of the year?
Running Man! Also super enjoying Elementary and HIMYM. (I like the mother!)
Your favorite DW/LJ community of the year?
Oh FFA.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
Free! The swimming anime! Ahahaha.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
...hockey. Dammit, Canes. Free! also devolved really, really quickly in character-bashing and ship wars so I backed the fuck out on the double.
Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
Oh Tachibana Makoto, you are too sweet.
Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
Lee Hyori forever *_____* Ugh I love her sfm and this MV just solidified her spot as top female Korean idol of my heart. (This allows me the loophole for Victoria, bahaha.)
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Episodes 4, 5, 7 (?) of Free!, otherwise known as MAKOTO AND HARU ARE BEST FRIENDS 5EVER.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
SJM always and forever; and then I missed FMA some when Kevin started watching the series; and pined for Hikago when I saw a listing for the complete set of manga on eBay, and Macdonald Hall while reading new Bruno&Boots Yuletide fic, and Ouran when I refound this Christmas AMV.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
New Big Bang album! The Other Woman. WINTER OLYMPICS. WORLD CUP. Ahhhhhhhhh. WHO'S EXCITED? I'M EXCITED.

I had to scrap about 3000 words and start over on this one, but I'm glad I did. It turned out for the better, even if it's still not perfect. But, oh man, clothes sharing is such a great trope. More people should write it (and with more porn than I've written, hah).
Flimsy, as an Excuse (Free!, MakoGou, MakoHaru, PG-13, 7586w): Favorite Fic, Best Fic, Most Fun Fic, Fic I'm Most Proud of, Fic I Want Remembered
I loved writing from Gou's perspective, okay? I love pretend dating! I love jealous Haru and unreasonably overprotective Rin and Seijuurou existing at all! I love Gou not actually wanting to be in a relationship! This was super fun to write.
Freediving (Into You) (Free!, MakoHaru, PG-13, 3056w): Most Underappreciated Fic, Biggest Surprise, Biggest Disappointment, Fic that Shifted My Own Perceptions of the Characters
This was not the Haru POV piece I was expecting to write, but it came out this way. I wouldn't say it was a huge disappointment, only I'm not sure I meant to do what I did. And since I only have three fics, it counts as most underappreciated only by dint of the lowest number of hits/kudos. @__@ Which, really, I'm not complaining about my stats here. I got lucky.
Goals for Next Year: To write anything at all! Seriously, my standards have lowered quite a bit, hah.

Free! was such a refreshing anime surprise this year. I expected nothing from it, but found myself quite happily in love with the entire show.
