life in 2015
So I'm moving to Houston in July!
It will be a big life change, and it is both exciting and kind of sad at the same time. I will miss all my friends in DC and I like this area a lot -- but the BF has landed his post-PhD assistant prof job in Texas, so away we go. My job is flexible enough to telework, or I can look for something local in the intervening months or after we get there. Decisions will be made! A cat will be acquired in time!
Meanwhile, the news is, knowing that I will be moving out in six months: holy fuuuuck, I hate living with people. (As I remind the boy: he does not count as people.) I'm so tired of people existing in my space with their clutter -- and even not their clutter! I am just really irritable lately at having to share a kitchen and bathroom and really feeling the need for my own space.
Six months, I remind myself.
IN OTHER, HAPPIER NEWS: Now You See Me 2 cast pic. Alas, the movie is not out 'til 2016 (and this one's missing Jay Chou, probably because he was busy getting married), but what a delight.
I read a Naruto fic recently, and since I haven't followed the second half of the manga through the (HP!esque) ending at all, I will gladly substitute this fic as the ending to the series: When the House Falls Down by sowell (SasuNaru, R, 40k).

lol that Naruto fic -- AO3 isn't loading for me but the title is familiar. Is that the one where Sasuke thinks he killed Naruto and goes steadily insane thinking he's being haunted by Naruto's ghost?

Houston will be a big change! But then I realized I've moved every 3-5 years of my life, so I was due a change anyway. Should be an interesting adventure and though I am slightly apprehensive, I am also looking forward to that -- and a cat!
