the 2015 holidays

This should be a Yuletide rec post, but of course I haven't had any time to read any of the fics yet. I don't participate in the exchange, but I always enjoy getting to read the stuff produced for these tiny, rare fandoms -- especially Heyer novels!

It's been a busy past two months, with a lot of traveling and a lot of things happening. I haven't read as much as I would have liked, but still getting some time in, and hope to continue that. Yay libraries! So hopefully in early January I'll have a "Books Read Nov-Dec 2015" post. It's nice to keep a record.

I've gotten engaged, and now I am dreading the wedding planning and still contemplating elopement. We'll see, we'll see. Also looking at adopting a cat and all that would entail, so that should keep me distracted and/or sane if need be! Cat cuddles, yes please.

Rewatching Generation Kill now, the Boy for the first time. It's still fucking excellent. And on the other end of the spectrum, looking forward to Galavant coming back! Still keeping up with Elementary but that's about it. I'm abysmally behind/distracted from my Korean shows though, from Running Man to Abnormal Summit and Where Is My Friend's Home (which people aren't subbing anyway, sob).

No writing this year, but at least I'll still do the year in review. Can't believe it's the end of 2015 already!

I participated in Yuletide this year. It was pretty fun! ^^

Looking forward to reading about the books you read ^^ I usually try to post after reading 4 or so~ mostly ^^;;

Adopting a kitty sounds very sensible *nods*

I always like browsing all the fandoms and finding awesome and surprising things to read. :D

We visited a cat today! He's a sweetie, think we're going to talk more with his foster mom and think seriously about adoption or at least a three-week trial run and see how we get along. I'm excited!

Like I said to Jem, we are looking into adopting a cat from his foster home and doing a three-week trial run and see how we get along, but hoping it'll be permanent. There will be pics eventually!

Oh lord, it's weird to be the first. It means I have no idea what I'm doing and have no one to ask for guidance, really. Figuring it out as we go.

Finished the GK rewatch and yep, it's still great. ♥

oooo! are you having your trial cat yet? this reminds me of the time my brother and his classmate were doing some project for school (the memories are fuzzy because this was like. fifteen years ago or something) and had hamsters and then they named the hamsters trial i and trial ii.

jiayou!!! *waves flags*

apparently 'inside llewellyn davis' has stark sands in it! and oscar isaac, of star wars (in)famy.
