I just finished Heroes.

I kind of love this show a lot. I can't believe I have to wait until September for season 2. ::clings to LJ:: Thank god for fic. Thank god for fandom. I also kind of despair at the five seasons planned, because I'm so impatient. I just want everything, all at once. It's why I watched Heroes post-season (& could, thanks to the lovely

wakkawoo).

Oh sweet Jesus, I can't decide who I want Mohinder with. I thought about Peter, but Peter is too in love with Nathan. I thought Eden, even, but she's, y'know, dead. And Sylar--I'm sorry I hate him too much. ;o;

God, the Petrelli family just does not know the meaning of personal space. It's kind of beautiful. Nathan is such an ass sometimes (a lot of times) but I love him regardless--there's just something about politicians that gets me, I think. XD I love Peter too, so the Petrellicest makes me happy.

Um, episode .07%? I'm watching the broadcast in Australia which is several episodes behind the US but I can't be bothered to download and it's nearly the end so... *shrugs* but Thursday has been renamed Heroes night. Ah, geekdom, I know thee well.

I read on a wiki article that on a tv show that didn't manage to go through, Nathan (his actor) was going to be Peter's (the actor's) father!! See? there could have been daddy issues between them even more!

Hahaha, I saw all the Hiro/Ando too, but Hiro is too adorable for me to ever imagine slashing. Plus, he & Charlie were adorable. He and Ando just have this really strong friendship bond thing. I don't even know. They are so cute and they make me "awww" when they defend each other and fight for each other and just--::flail:: I love all the strong relationships in this series. :D

Goddamn, I know. NBC owns us all with Heroes. I give up.

I thought of you when I watched the season finale! I was biting my nails the entire time yelling at Nathan to stop being an asshole and just waiting for that ultimate Petrellicest moment I knew HAD to come. And alkdjldk oh god it totally didn't disappoint. ::loves loves loves:: So gay for each other, so gay, so awesome. *___*

I can sort of see where people get Peter/Claire from but but but Peter is too much in love with Nathan. And I want Zack/Claire because Zaaack. They were so cute together. Though I hear next season Claire gets a boyfriend. I hope he is likeable.

Someone explain Sylar/Mohinder to me. I don't get it. Sylar makes me :( a lot.

Sylar... okay, hahahah, uh, Sylar. I have puzzled over why the internet - including me, 110% - is so utterly, totally obsessed with Sylar. He... it's like, we all know he's an unforgivable (at this point, as his acts are indisputably evil even if he himself is not completely so) killer psychopathic sadistic bastard jerk. A few people are obsessed with hating him in classic villain form, yeah, but most people seem to be just.. obsessed. (I am thinking of all the 'Brainz = oreos'/other countless Sylar icons here.)

I think it partly helps that everything he does seems... sexual, like, there is an air of sexuality around him? I guess? it just seems, even though it's not like we see him do anything directly sexual ~~(damn you, writers)~~. He just, I dunno - I generally don't pick up on 'auras of sexuality' or whatever, but something about everything he did just seemed to have that air (uh, perhaps there is a meta out there on 'Female Fandom Views on Power Dynamics and Sex: What's Wrong with America based on the Obsession (and Sexual Obsession) With Sylar', which I'm sure would be brilliant even if I hated it). Plus, he's just... well, with that sexuality, he's just sexy. (I mean the general feeling that he seemed to inspire, not just the unsuns scenes, by which I mean The Shaving Scene.) Which, you know, uh, helps. (Along with, I guess, HE EATS BRAINZ = LOL?) On top of all that, he has those little repentage bits - the Forgive Me graffiti, the hanging out with Mohinder, the offering Mohinder his life, the bit with his Mom, the call to Mohinder, the sex with Mohind-- er - which make him not just a 2D Crazy but Sexy Brain Eater.

EDIT: ALSO HIS ACTOR IS AN ADORABLE PUPPY, who also has this tendency to play strongly gay/bisexual parts (see: the infamous mostly-naked-making-out-in-a-sauna-with-a-dude scene in all those icons) and is generally AMAZING.

... Still, though, I really can't explain the thing behind the sheer power of the general obsession (like what drove me to run about verbally capslocking primarily about Sylar all day after every episode - and usually for a few days more - and caused a mass 'YAY SECOND SEASON CONTRACT' after the manhole bit). THE INTERNETS, I SWEAR, THEY ARE SO CRAZY.

... ahahaha I just typed a huge thing that said pretty much I DON'T KNOW, HE'S PRETTY HOT, uh, whoops? SORRY MEI, I AM STALLING ON USEFUL THINGS. :(

Ahhh, well, I still don't like Sylar but I like that you can (sort of haha) tell me why you love him a lot. :D (Though I do find icons like "HE LIKES YOU FOR YOUR BRAIN" amusing.) I don't see the sexual at all--maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm too busy being creeped out by his psychopathic ways alskd I don't know. But I'll give you that he's an interesting & conflicted character.

Man, I have trawled for fic. I kind of want to make a rec post. But the effort, oh the effort, and I am so lazy...

OH OH But!! I CAN say something vaguely constructive about Sylar/Mohinder, -ish. OKAY so I love to joke that the only solidly canon couples in Heroes are either dead, incestuous, or mind-rape, and WELL. I stand by this, uh (with the exception of Niki/DL).

I'm not sure if I go for the almost split personalities aspect that a lot of people went for (although there is gorgeous fic (http://aheartfulofyou.livejournal.com/25925.html#cutid1) - and fic where he got Niki, and did split (http://aheartfulofyou.livejournal.com/28147.html#cutid1) (also, uh, it's pretty obvious that I not only blame

aheartfulofyou for even thinking about Mohinder/Sylar in the first place, but have an enormous crush on her writing)), but, hmm, even if you are strictly going for a 'Sylar may be conflicted but is, on the whole, a Stupendous Psycho Bastard', he still canonically had plenty of Hmmm moments. The mere fact that he kept Mohinder alive that long and bothered to be so damn nice to him is, well, certainly pinnable on his need to use him to get to the list/special people. But then, when he tried to beg/'offer Mohinder his life' in Parasite, that was quite out of character. The one thing, though, that over and over again I break into verbal/mental caps just thinking about, is in 5 Years. To me, the fact that he kept Mohinder by him, had him become his closest friend and advisor, just... god, it says so, so much to me, that he had to have him there, still, liking and helping and smiling at him, just. *___* ... Of course, that Mohinder, being utterly brilliant and all, gets totally fooled over and over is, uh, both kind of sad and kind of potentially shippy, too. .. although I'm still waiting for that fic where Mohinder knows about Nathan and stays anyway, god, something is wrong with me.

AND THEN THERE'S THE CALL IN THE HARD PART, WHICH, EVEN IF IT WAS KIND OF SILLY (uhh), I CANNOT TALK ABOUT WITHOUT CAPS.

And, again, there's the sexuality thing that Sylar has eternally goin' on that shows up again in every moment of their interactions in Parasite. Just that eternally fucked up, tangibly sexual power dynamic tension thing that really, really should not be so hot. :((( I'M SORRY, I UNDERSTAND THAT SINCE YOU WERE NOT ATTRACTED TO SYLAR IN THE FIRST PLACE THIS HAS NO APPEAL FOR YOU AND YOU ARE PROBABLY GOING MAN, MY FLIST IS REALLY FUCKED UP.

I was gonna get back to this comment eventually, hahah. You're right in that I DON'T GET WHY PEOPLE LOVE SYLAR WHY WHY but you helped with that somewhat in the previous comment. 'Cause you're right. That's a lot of time spent together in close proximity that could all segue into SEX and MORE SEX. Which I thoroughly approve of. I mean, if I liked Sylar. ~_~. Maybe he'll appeal to me more in the second season? Mr. Bennet grew on me a lot; I wanted to throw things at him ('cause he was creepy and evil, even if I understood his motives) at the beginning of the season but he got a lot awesomer by the end.

I can't wait until season 2! And, oh yes, I too loved Hiro and Ando's friendship. It was so cute and sweet and strong. I was so afraid for Hiro at the beginning, that he'd be mocked for his powers and that no one would believe him and he would be like the other characters--made unhappy by his power. I'm so glad he has someone like Ando, who supports and encourages him and allows him to be a Super-hiro. Hee. I love them. :D
