And, er, HanaKimi fans on my flist? :< With all this drama love going around, I've been wanting to reread the manga and I just discovered that the computer where I had the first 14 volumes? Kind of got its memory wiped. A year ago. (How did I miss this??)

Anyone have the first 14 volumes for me? ::looks pitiful:: Or could point me to where I can get them for myself?

i'd give you a link for hanakimi, but it seems like you have plenty already. ;)
i have not yet seen any of the drama versions of hanakimi! the taiwanese version seemed a lot crackier than the manga was -- i didn't like who they cast for mizuki (though i am rather fond of S.H.E. as a group). i've glanced at the cast list for the jdrama and am rather disappointed at the choice for umeda. umeda was my favourite! he was so pretty and full of sarcastic wit<3. have you seen that KAT-TUN skit with nurse!jin and doctor!kame? i think doctor!kame would have made an awesome umeda. ;)

OTP colored glasses! They are marvelous and make all subtext much more obvious. (And, really, the handholding TOOK UP THE ENTIRE SCREEN. Clearly meant to be.)

Thanks for the thought anyway! And I am loving the twdrama (watching it now, months after everyone else, I know, I know) & even though I think Mizuki could have been cast prettier (I do like Maki as a choice for the jdrama), I really love Ella and her crazy facial expressions. (I was watching the making of the Zen Ma Ban MV today and slkdjld. She and Wu Zun are SO CUTE.)

I agree that Umeda should be prettier though. :(( In both dramas! Pretty and gay, please. And I did see that KAT-TUN skit! Doctor!Kame would have been hilarious (and pretty) but I doubt he looked old enough for the part...

I've read the manga, seen the TW drama, and just started the Japanese version.

...the only disappointment was that Nakao, Himejima and Umeda weren't hot/pretty. T-T

Other than that, I think I'll like the Japanese version better. >_

I'm biased toward the twdrama because it's crack and I love laughing at them--and also 'cause I can understand them. ;D Makes me feel smart.

I've been disappointed with casting for Nakao and Umeda for both dramas though. So many pretty boys in the world! Why couldn't you cast them in these cute/pretty boy roles? Sad day indeed...
