Leeteuk doesn’t like to admit it but he knows he plays favorites sometimes. There’s Kangin, of course, because there will always be Kangin – they’ve known each other forever and Leeteuk can’t help it. What Leeteuk doesn’t talk really talk about (and what other people don’t really know) is how much he loves Donghae because of the way Donghae calls him repeatedly, homesick and needing reassurance (no one else will do), or the way he will wake Leeteuk at four in the morning just to say, “Hyung, I missed you,” and the way he’s moved so easily to tears when he finally hugs Leeteuk after two months away. Leeteuk loves the way Donghae makes him feel needed and wanted. He loves the way Donghae makes him feel, above all, special.

When Ryeowook and Kyuhyun introduce Zhou Mi to Yesung, Yesung gets a look in his eyes that the first two are familiar with and that make them tingle in anticipation. Zhou Mi is confused when Ryeowook beams at him and presses their phone numbers, all on a slip of paper, into his hand and tells him to call them that night when he's in bed - he starts to understand though, when the conference call between the four of them dissolves into a murmur of Korean pitched low and seductive, sending both shivers and heat up his spine because even if he doesn't understand every word, he can certainly understand intent.
