Leeteuk doesn’t like to admit it but he knows he plays favorites sometimes. There’s Kangin, of course, because there will always be Kangin – they’ve known each other forever and Leeteuk can’t help it. What Leeteuk doesn’t talk really talk about (and what other people don’t really know) is how much he loves Donghae because of the way Donghae calls him repeatedly, homesick and needing reassurance (no one else will do), or the way he will wake Leeteuk at four in the morning just to say, “Hyung, I missed you,” and the way he’s moved so easily to tears when he finally hugs Leeteuk after two months away. Leeteuk loves the way Donghae makes him feel needed and wanted. He loves the way Donghae makes him feel, above all, special.

Hyukjae asks Donghae over lunch, a look of intense contemplation on his face as he twirls the straw in his strawberry milk, but the expression changes to one of offense when Donghae says, quite seriously, "It's because you've changed, Hyukkie. You never pick up your phone. I've replaced you with Kyuhyun, who doesn't like Sungmin-hyung anymore either."

Hyukjae sputters and Donghae collapses into laughter, nearly dropping his chopsticks, and Hyukjae decides the best way to make Donghae shut up is by leaning over and kissing him.

LMAO this totally cracked me up. hyukhae and kyumin are my two otps, and although you didn't know that, i'm happy that you put a little kyumin in there. <3 thank you for providing me with a dosage of hyukhae to keep my sanity. i had to rewatch episodes of ehb yesterday looking for it. LOL hyuk is totally in love with hae, i mean, c'mon, all that touching in episode 7 and the whole coldness towards siwon has to mean something in this world.
