PSA: watch what you put up on FB

As a thought, people should care a little more what they put up on Facebook and MySpace - or what they let other people put up about them. Livejournal, too, probably, though it's possible I'm seeing giant blinking letters spelling out "HYPOCRITE" above my head.

There's the internet, and then there's real life. Sometimes it's not all that separate.

This is why my Facebook is pretty much on maximum security settings - I'm not sure people can even search for me if they're not already friends with me...

I'm just hoping no one IRL ever stumbles across my LJ. Google-searching yourself sometimes is helpful in that! Paranoia, I know, but universities and employers will do it too.

Of course, it always helps when you don't use your real name in the intarwebs. -_- ...Or switch to your Chinese!or any other non-English name, which nobody actually can decently pronoun in my rl, let alone spell to run a google search, instead. Though really, my name is not impossible, people, please stop butchering it. OTL
