PIMP POST OF DOOM: SPN & J2 in the house~!

Supernatural is an American drama/horror television series starring Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, brothers who hunt demons and other figures of the paranormal. The series, which is filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, debuted on September 13, 2005, on The WB, and is now part of The CW's lineup.

My story: I watched S1 and half of S2 live as it was airing, usually freaking myself out because it was dark and I was stupid to watch by myself, in the dark. Hell, I'm pretty sure I watched a few with thyme_hawthorne and we still ended up scared silly. Bloody Mary was freaky as fuck, okay? But then I got distracted by other things, like Ouran and Hikago, and then kpop... Since January of this year though, I've gotten back into lurking actively in the fandom because, omg, there is so much good longfic. I am always a sucker for fanworks. That eventually led me to start keeping up with the show again, at least spoilerwise. I still don't watch the show unless I know what happened and want to see for myself. It's totally possible to watch the show and not be in fandom, but it's also very possible to not watch the show and be in fandom. :3

S1 & S2 involved a lot of urban legends and were very episodic - monster of the week type deal with a background overarching plot. Since S3 onwards, however, the series took a very...apocalyptic turn. I cannot say it's my favoritee, which is why I continue not to watch the show. BUT the apocalyptic storyline means Castiel. And Castiel is amazing because he is played by Misha Collins. Why is that awesome? I will tell you!
