I am a Rafa fan first and foremost, but Nole is a close second, and never really cared about Murray until his tears after losing last year's Wimbledon and then OH ANDY MURRAY, DON'T BE SAD. So while I was rooting for Djokovic to at least play hard and make it a tough match, I wanted to watch Murray make history with a Wimbledon win. At last, at last!

And he did it! And sadly Nole looked pretty far off his game for most of the match, but that last game was at least incredible, fighting back from three championship points and getting at least four deuces, I believe.

But Andy Murray's shock and relief and disbelief and inability to remember to hug his mother -- ! PLEASE CRY TEARS, I WANT TO SEE YOU CRY AND CUDDLE YOUR FACE. YOUR FACE.

The match also made me want all kind of Djokovic/Murray fic, particularly after I'd read this excellent accidental marriage/universe swap fic previously. There is not nearly enough Djokovic/Murray fic! The entire world ships Roger/Rafa and I am sorry because they are a ridiculous pair of giggly BFF, but I cannot ship them as some part of my heart will forever resent Feds. (Sorry Feds. You are a classy guy who did a classy reddit AMA, but my heart is unreasonable!)
