i come bearing exclamation points!

SO I FINISHED MY [livejournal.com profile] miracle_ss FIC. WOW. NEVER GONNA WRITE AGAIN. OBVIOUSLY, I CAN'T. I HAVE BECOME INCAPABLE OF IT. WHAT ARE THESE THINGS CALLED WORDS AND SENTENCES AND GAH--

Ugh, SuJu, I have lost whatever touch I had with you. I don't know how to write you anymore. Or just, you know, write in general. D:

This is me flailing. Tiredly. Going to bed after I whore for people to give me stuff, haha.

STEP ONE
★ Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 unlimited holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Naruto icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

★ If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

★ Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
★ Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

★ If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

★ You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

★ There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishlist
01. a cute umbrella with automatic open
02. I Envy You wallet
03. new earbuds
04. gift card to Borders, Amazon, Starbucks (or, you know, Express or The Limited, which I foresee as less likely - but I need suits, gah! what professionalism entails!)
05. Qmi duet in Chinese
06. for the Boy to acquire a kitten :3
07. money so I can afford a trip back to China or Korea alksjdflkd
08. Christmas cards! Let me know if you need my contact info, or just check the link on my sidebar.

Already got cards from [livejournal.com profile] risabet and [livejournal.com profile] llellewyn. I love you both! They cheered me up immensely in the midst of finals-stress. Thank you~ ♥

Life is good! And bad! Not really that full of exclamation points! But let me abuse them! Dying can be an exciting activity!

ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO MEET DEATH OF THE ENDLESS!

somewhere on the high seas of the world, my package is making its way to you. XD just think of how exciting it must be to be, uh, packed away in the hull of a cargo ship, riding the waves towards the Wilde Wilde West. from the Orient, too!

DEATH WHO SPEAKS IN ALL CAPS, YES. I wish Pterry would come out with another Discworld book...

Haha, technically, the Orient can be West from where I am! I think of it that way, anyway.

[identity profile] forochel.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
well technically THIS Death speaks in all caps because she's a graphic novel character and they typeset most dialogue like that ... BUT ANYWAY. YEAH. :Db And he has! 'Nation', but i haven't got it yet.

...I suppose so.

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
OH YES THAT DEATH AS WELL. What graphic novel is she from? Not her own? I feel some sort of tie to Gaiman, but I could be making this up in my head...

Is Nation a Discworld book? It's YA. :(
ext_9946: (melvin; someone's gotta do the work)

[identity profile] forochel.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Your spider senses are fully functional! XD She's from Gaiman's The Sandman series, though she has two of her own spin-offs, being Death: The High Cost of Living and Death: The Time of Your Life, because everyone loves Didi.

Is it? Oh dear...

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-12 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently it's a non-Discworld standalone YA book. :( It's Pterry, so of course it's good, but I need me some new Discworld. And we all know the world should bend to my every whim.

Aww, it's okay. I will probably end up getting them for myself, because I need my music.

Card will be shiny and loved. :D

[identity profile] uminohikari.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Is your contact info the same as last year? This year I am resolved to send out cards!

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that depends on whether you have my home address or school address. Home address is the same (the one in NC).

Yay cards! I am desperately fighting for time from finals to do them alskdjf.

[identity profile] uminohikari.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not a NC address ^^;

[identity profile] callais.livejournal.com 2008-12-10 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
A fact of life for me: school sucks any creativity you have, sucks you dry aaaaaaaaaaa. orz BUT GOOD JOB ON FINISHING YOUR FIC. ♥

I would so send you a card but. aaaaaaaaa I don't have anything to say augh. /boring beyond belief

Survive, Mei, you can do it! ;w;b

[identity profile] callais.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
hey hey, was almost forgetting something. Are you staying at Missouri or going back home for the holidays? This would. Definitely be important not to mess up for cards. D:

SORRY IF THAT'S THE MOST STUPID QUESTION YOU'VE EVER HEARD. OTL

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
Leaving for home on the 19th, coming back to MO on the 3rd. Use your judgment in addressing the card! For I hope there will be card, because you are not boring beyond belief. Not at all! ♥

And how is life going for you? Exams and school and stress all around?

[identity profile] callais.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
:O -takes note of that- Gah, I'm horrible with figuring out how long something takes to get shipped adl;kfjal;fja;dlf. BRB CALCULATING THAT NOW.

\o/ First card marking was a disaster. Second card marking I have been a-okay, sans the one-exam/essay every hour for all six hours, which happens every week. I suspect the teachers planned this, but I'm in no position to whine. Brought this upon myself, I have! BI But on the plus side, there are really only 2 midterms I have to study my butt off to get A's! OF COURSE they would have to be the AP's though. orz WINTER BREAK=STUDY-STUDY-STUDY

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-12 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, high school, I forget that midterms are in Dec and finals later in May. Still, tests require studying, indeed! So work hard! I am going to get all my stressed finals-studying (and -taking) all done before break, so my winter break will be slightly more relaxing. :D I may even be able to read for pleasure!

Of course, I also have to apply for jobs...

Gah, always something to do. Good luck, Cal!

SORRY ABOUT SPAMMING YOUR INBOX ;W;

[identity profile] callais.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
DYING IS EXCITING. AND FUNNY. AND NOW I WANT A DISCWORLD BOOK. OTL

ps. Nation is not a discworld novel. It's a YA standalone. The last discworld to come out was Making Money, from the Moist von Lipwig stories, and that came out in 2007. (ahaha, I have this one!)

i don't mind the spam! :D

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-12 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I thought that's how it was! Tragic, really. I want a Discworld book too! I may just reread good stuff over break.

[identity profile] risabet.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You're more than welcome ♥ And I'm glad you liked it ♥ Hopefully your stress will come to an end soon! ♥ *huggles*

[identity profile] meiface.livejournal.com 2008-12-12 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, thank you. ::hugs:: You too. Good luck on your studying and exams!
