This song on repeat is killing my brain cells but I love it anyway, even if it's really just a mash-up of Sorry Sorry and Ring Ding Dong with added ~ethnic beats~. (Which really means "way too much fucking synthesizer".)

So this MV is going to be punked out boys riding bicycles on the boardwalk by the beach, watching girls sip piña coladas and shake their bikini-clad asses, amirite? Clearly the best concept ever. No way the MV can live up to the stuff I'm making up in my head! In the meantime, I've quit playing the Guess Who's Singing game because I can pick out all the people I care to pick out anyway. :3

Today I am going to catch up on my manga series! Plot my SPN/J2 pimp post! Read books and try to convince efio_47 and conspiire that they totally want to go to the beach with me this weekend. Never mind that the water will still be way too cold to swim in; we can put on some grass skirts, sip some alcohol, and wait for punked out SJ members on bicycles to come hit on us.

basically! I've tried reading it, but the plot didn't really captivate me. I don't know. I'm currently reading a shojo manga (GASP SHOCK yes I know) called Kaichou wa Maid-sama (http://www.onemanga.com/Kaichou_wa_Maid-sama/) and I went into it thinking that it'd be horrendously sexist but it isn't! I mean, being a Japanese shojo comic it definitely is extremely problematic, but not so much so that it completely undercuts my enjoyment of it! Plus the titular kaichou is COMPLETELY AWESOME. There is this scene in which rapists try to rape her, and she gets so pissed off she RIPS HER WAY OUT OF THE HANDCUFFS THEY PUT ON HER AND BEATS THEM UP. and the best thing is that male protagonist, who is a bit of a chauvinist prick (but a very attractive chauvinist prick, sigh, all these conflicting emotions) is rendered completely useless by her self-sufficiency and arrives on the scene looking like an idiot.
