Oh Inception fandom, lol. How quickly you've lured us in and established yourself with amazing fic and already standard fanon. I guess it makes sense that the more unpleasant bits of fandom would have to show up sooner or later as well.

Time to relearn how to ignore the bullshit. Kpop, you taught me this; I will master it again! With the help of y'all, who are wonderful. Would never regret knowing you! /kisses♥

In other news:

I tried to watch Stuart: A Life Backwards but possibly was not in the right frame of mind to do it, because I started tearing up before the opening credits finished rolling and was a sobbing mess thirty minutes in. Granted, I am a crier. But, Lord God, that movie. Tom Hardy, you are fucking amazing, okay? I can't even look at him as Stuart in there and reconcile him with Eames or Handsome Bob. Tom Hardy, how are you real?

I'll need to finish the movie but I've been warned it only gets worse: more painful, more dark. I think I'll need to be in a state of fucking bliss before I try watching the rest of it. D: But you all should really give this movie a shot. It's devastating. God, Tom fucking Hardy, why do you break my heart like this?

Still sick, but eating a lot of cherries. Is that good or bad for me when ill? Still super tired but at least I managed to be productive today with regards to schoolwork.

Anyway, spending fandom time reading some Merlin fics and, inexplicably, Smallville fics (never mind that I've never seen the show, whatever; porn needs no canon!).

Smallville has some lovely porn :) I only watched some of the early seasons and yet I still find it easier to reconcile Smallville!Lex to Comics!Lex. I'm like, "Lex would never wear that!" and :/ faces to assorted evils.

I am reading astolat's Smallville fics now! I have no idea what's going on but it's fun reading anyway. :D I also keep forgetting that Lex is supposed to be a villain because I only started paying attention to him in Smallville (portrayed by Michael Rosenbaum, oh the things I learned from CWRPS haha) and he was fairly likable? Or something.

SMALLVILLE, zomg, I believe seperis has a whole load of amazing fic to be read. though my go-to rec is the one by astolat (I think) with, uh, Tim and Kon. RECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES (http://intimations.org/fanfic/smallville/Reconcilable_Differences.html). it is THE MOST BEST. and if you happen to fall in complete and utter love with Tim and Kon from there (for which you shall not be blamed, but welcomed into the circle with tea and crumpets) I HAVE LOADS OF RECS. also, Y, porn needs no canon! indeed, fanfiction needs no canon!

I think that that person might be right! I think that, for me, rageprufrock's stories make me feel so much and so intensely that the hurty bits are much more easily forgotten than the happy bits. If this makes any sense. Which it doesn't, very probably... anyway winterlive's fic is plotty and porny and it is delightful and it made me grin kind of a lot!

What kind of tea, if you don't mind me asking? Usually I really enjoy Twinings' fruity teas, but when I'm sick, I prefer drinking herbal teas and/or plain black tea. Or the expensive green tea stolen from my relatives' house, because I can become very picky, hahaha!

I have faith in tea's miraculous powers! :D

As long as they have happy endings, I am okay going through angsty and hurty bits! I just can't deal with the devastation of ending somewhere depressing after a long and emotional journey. I mean, okay, sometimes I can and sometimes the fic is amazing and it's justified -- but as a reader, I sort of feel like I've been torn apart with no one to put me back together. D: And life does that enough to me! I would like happiness in my fic-reading, if at all possible...

As for tea, I usually rotate through super lovely expensive green tea stolen from my parents (sent to them from China :D), Twining's black teas (Earl Grey, English Breakfast, etc), and less amazing standard jasmine green tea from a bag. When I'm sick I go for herbal lemon/ginger tea with honey. It's like all the good things for your throat combined in one, haha. I honestly believe sleep and tea and hot showers can make anything and everything better!

haha oh but I was never in HP fandom properly, just reading for it, so all the wank there was just entertainment for me. Being involved/active in a fandom makes the wank that much more unpleasant.
