time traveling to six years ago
So I've been spending the weekend watching Running Man from the beginning, rather than just cherry-picking episodes with guests I knew, and it's been a hilarious experience. It's also been frustrating because I made the mistake of reading Youtube comments (oh Mei, you know better) and now I have a lot of FEELINGS I would like to express, but I'll probably save that for another time. Gary is my favorite, by a tiny margin, but I love all of them so, so much. So many thoughts! So many feelings! Yonghwa, please come on the show all the time. Hyori, please make a comeback and come onto the show again. ;A;
So recently a combination of events occured:
1. Jin got married. To Kuroki Meisa, whom I don't know, but is gorgeous and evidently pregnant. My friends' reactions: "LOL. Wait, does this mean he has to stay monogamous? Wait, does he know how?!" I feel like this is a fitting reaction.
2. Contemplating the eventual good-looking child Jin and Mai would eventually bear, I thought about Miyavi and Melody's progeny and, huh, I have apparently not been paying attention at all because they have two kids now! This led to my missing Miyavi's music.
2. Big Bang worldwide tour! Have the locations and dates been released or confirmed? I know nothing, except that a Big Bang concert would make my life. Because of this, I've been on a mission to listen to all the Big Bang music ever, including all their old stuff, like VIP, which is boss.
3. Having some old Big Bang songs on various mix CDs (yes, I still have those), I dug some out and ran across ONE OK ROCK and KAT-TUN and ORANGE RANGE on them.
This has all culminated in my desire to get back into ALL THE JROCK. And maybe KAT-TUN, just for nostalgic purposes, because I still giggle-snort every time I hear Akame sing, given all that's happened in the interval since their pre-debut days. Possibly some Arashi too, even though they are probably the furthest thing from jrock you can get.
Aside from BL manga, I've fallen so out of touch with Japanese fandoms. All my fangirl Japanese has been replaced by fangirl Korean. D: It makes the sixteen-year-old in me very sad. Doushite?Doushite, Tamahome? Miaka! Tamahome! Miaka!

Never was much into Jrock, though I had heard the bands, Kpop snatched me away too quickly. I thought it would have faded by now, but no, nope... though I have branched into cpop, a bit and R&B, from all over.
Running man from the beginning? Soon as I figure out when, I can add it to the lovely list of all the other things I want to watch...
I did not go looking for Big Bang though they were here in the City for the weekend filming for the new video. But they were here, and that is just like extra confirmation that the world tour is really happening.
I like that you are having fun though.

There is nothing quite like jrock. Kpop is fun and shiny, but there is something I really enjoy about jrock that for once has very little to do with the people singing/dancing/whatever and more to do with the music.
I saw a fancam of BB filming in Brooklyn! I...then cringed at what they were wearing. Still, I have high hopes for the MV and song. Mostly I am just excited for COMEBACK. :DDD

I will think about jrock, I keep running into online friends who are into it so ...

I liked her first minialbum but the more popular she got, she got even more boring and bland...
