I think being a hockey fan - okay, a Hawks fan - is making me an alcoholic.

I totally saw the knockout coming tonight but yet - yet I am drunk and sad, because we actually played better tonight than we did in the previous five games, but we lost by an embarrassing margin. Tazer and Kaner shaking hands with the Yotes at the end of the game just ruined me. And then swingingstars and I got in the car to hear the ending strains of We Are Young.

It was like a sign.

A terrible, tragic sign.

Maybe next year.

Hockey, why are you the worst? I've only cried after an Arsenal match once and that was after three years of following them and *that* Carling Cup final against Birmingham. But I might legit bawl in public on Wednesday if the Caps lose. It would be like body blow, body blow, body blow. :/

I actually got really emotional because this series has just been so terrible for them, and that game was just the icing on the cake. My friend put it pretty accurately when she said that I'm basically just rooting for teams to lose now. Except the Panthers. GOOOOO PANTHERS.

But yeah I'm basically just waiting for the NHL awards because hopefully happy things will come from it!
