so this spring break imma continue flailing as i do

I'm on Spring Break! This means I am doing absolutely nothing productive this weekend which will include:

1. reading War Games by seperis, K/S, sequel to You'll Get There in the End
2. writing some goddamn Minho/Donghae
3. going to the mall for the first time in months and buying shit because I've failed my "girl quota" recently
4. watching Alice in Wonderland, omg Johnny Depp \o/
5. watching Ponyo on a friend's ginormous HDTV
6. getting my hair cut and possibly colored again because the whole "failing at being a girl thing"? it's gotten quite serious. I blame law school. I always blame law school.

Then I actually plan on being productive and doing work and applying for jobs and catching up and learning things and whatnot throughout the week. Why?

BECAUSE I'M GOING TO NYC 3/26 - 3/29 FOR MY EXTENDED-WEEKEND MINI-BREAK WITH swingingstars AND suxing! I am so excited there are no words. Possibly the only thing more exciting would be, idk, Donghae and/or Jensen showing up on my doorstep for some unfathomable reason. BUT SINCE THAT IS NOT EXACTLY REALISTIC, LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS UPCOMING NYC WEEKEND.

Or we could talk about books. Do you want to talk about books? This is my opinion on books: they are freaking awesome. People who don't read for pleasure confound and bewilder me. I find myself greatly troubled by their psyche, in that I mean I have no idea how someone could possibly be wired to not enjoy reading. See my utter befuddlement. I do enjoy the word befuddlement.

I recently picked up The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes to reread because I miss my mystery phase. Agatha Christie next, if I have time! And if anyone remembers me flailing about Lorna Freeman and her Borderlands series? I will flail about her forever. Shadows Past was immensely fun to read and I will stalk her blog as she writes the next book. Catch me when I'm not on a high and I will write her a proper book review/rec. Maybe also J2 fic recs. (Omfg you have no idea how pleased I am the way SPN/J2 Big Bang and STXI Big Bang and H/D holiday fic exchanges are staggered so there is basically something amazing to read at all times. Except now. Kind of. Whatever!) Y'ALL SHOULD TALK TO ME ABOUT BOOKS AND FICS AND READING. AND STUFF.

In conclusion and on a completely irrelevant thought, jaded_skys is amazing and willing to buy me shiny crap from Korea and all I want are cell phone charms and possibly clothes a giant freaking poster A PAPER BAG WITH DONGHAE'S FACE ON IT stuff from SPAO. Damn you, SPAO, how your advertising has worked.

The shop might not be there for long...it's one of those...fads-shops with funny little things that few people would want to buy and they never last very long.

WHO ARE YOU, GEM. WHO ARE YOU. You should watch the new ST movie at least - I didn't know anything about ST until the movie, and all the fic I read is based solely off the movie, so I don't need to know the years and years of old ST history.

Easier than indoctrinating you into 7 books+6 movies of HP and 5 seasons of Supernatural, lol.

...let me think about how much I want Donghae socks. ;__;

ldskjh IDEK. So many people around me were getting into them while I was completely oblivious. New ST movie; when did it come out? The last ST movie I remember is the Hayden Christensen one, or was that Star Wars? (Yes I don't know the difference between ST / SW or whether they're the same thing or ajd;slkj)

Hayden Christensen was in Star Wars, my love. >: I suppose I can't criticize since I never bothered to watch any of Star Wars either, but eee how lovely the newest ST movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_(film)) is. It came out May 2009 and is shiny and full of action and also hot actors. :D It is in-canon AU from the original series, which is a fun deviation. YOU SHOULD WATCH IT, IT IS AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNETS. Or through DVDs or whatever. ;)

Sob, because it came on in the 2005-06 season and oh god I remember watching its premiere, I FEEL SO OLD.
