My dearest flist, today I bring to you ridiculous Youtube spammage of my favorite footballers. As I've been complaining to anyone who will listen: FOOTBALL HAS RUINED MY LIFE. Seriously.


Let's start with the adverts first, yeah? Because those are a good way to ease into the rest of it. Love to kasugai_gummie & forochel for bringing some of these to my attention. :D

This is a series of Pepsi commercials featuring Torres, Messi, Henry, Fabregas, Kaká, and Lamapard. Two weeks ago I couldn't have named any of these players: now I can identify them by sight and tell you which countries they play for. This is not saying much to anyone who knows anything about football because they are some pretty HUGE names, but for me it is like being able to recite the Book of Isaiah in original Greek, backwards. (This might be a crappy example; I'm pretty sure I can't even name all 12 disciples. But I digress...)

This is an old Nike ad and not banned despite what the title tries to say. It features footballers and CRAZY SAMURAI-NINJA HYBRIDS THAT ARE ACTUALLY ZOMBIES. And a plot!

And of course the ~*~famous and epic NIKE: WRITE THE FUTURE~*~ commercial.



Now let me segue from that into my two current favorites/biases: LOOK, MA, THEY HAVE TALENT. They are more than just cute faces or hot bods!

Yes, football ruins my life because now I've gone and gotten a freaking ship and I'll never be unable to unship them. Damn them and their Liverpool red to hell!

Or not. LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY ARE OKAY. I spammed you guys with ridiculous gifs of them celebrating and hugging and literally throwing themselves into each other's arms - do you need to see those again? I'll include them too.

- This is Stevie's face when he finds out Nando's being substituted out. It makes an epic gif too but I am too lazy to go find it.

- This is Nando fanboying Stevie with all his heart. Ignore whether or not you think Stevie is that great of a captain; focus on the fact that, boy, Nando sure seems to think so.

- Randomly, here is Stevie with his shorts down. No, no one knows what he's trying to do with his shirt (tuck it into his underwear?) but now you know he wears gray briefs! The more you know!

- And this is possibly the cutest commercial I have ever seen, so it gets an embed, not a link. THE ENTIRETY OF ENGLAND IS GAY FOR TORRES, TRUFAX. I want to cuddle everyone in this ad.

But even if you don't want to fangirl Gerrard/Torres as a pair, you can always flail over how cute they are platonically, right? Or even not them specifically; I can be happy with just flailing over football in general!

This was the beginning of the third-round games of group stages, so the last two games of each Group were played simultaneously. On top of that, Wimbledon! Did that wreak havoc on my life or what? It so did. My attention span is just not that good! 2naonh3_cl2 tried to claim yesterday that I made daily football posts but I SO DID NOT. But, um, starting now, I might... There is too much football goings-on to keep up with! And now there's tennis too, dammit.

South Korea was incredibly lucky with all the shit that went down in their game yesterday, but they're moving on! So yay. :D I keep wanting to say they won but I forget they only drew; doesn't matter since they still advance though, hah. I wonder how they will do against Uruguay; a friend said it was a better draw for them than Mexico, because Uruguay plays a more defensive game and Mexico attacks more and tries to keep the game fast-paced, which usually doesn't work in favor of Korea... I guess we will see.

There are so many photos of each game, I can't even keep up. @_@ All the crazy media with cameras in every angle.
