you mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling

Anyone who hasn't yet seen Inception, I don't know what's stopping you. Get on it! It's not a life-changing experience but it is a fan-fucking-tastic movie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in a suit. For the entire movie. Also, you know, the plot's pretty good. ;) And the rest of the ensemble cast is lovely. ETA: My caveat being that the movie is hardly perfect and has its problems, which I haven't really been dwelling on (other than initial fleeting thoughts) until brought up in Aja's post comments. I'd say: watch the movie, form your own opinions, and come back and talk/think about it some more!

I've somehow managed to see it three times already and I have to report that the second viewing is probably the best. Anyone who's paying attention is probably unsurprised by my unholy glee at the witty, snarky banter between Arthur and Eames. I am weak, all right?

I shouldn't be surprised that I wasn't the only one, either - and yet it wasn't until yesterday that I realized, oh dear god, Inception has a fandom already. Not just a main comm or a fic comm or an icon comm - we're down with the kinkmeme already: [livejournal.com profile] inception_kink.

I have, of course, started reading. I'm so predictable, you guys. Here's the first rec; delicious is open for the others, as always!

I wouldn't mind watching it a second time, but I'm not sure I would watch it a third. I think by then it would probably get boring, since the movie is so much about the suspense. It would be good, though, to rewatch the beginning parts because I was totally at sea for the first fifteen minutes.

2nd viewing is amazing. 3rd viewing? You start getting annoyed/picking at potential plotholes/etc. I was basically just in it for the heist-prep bits and lots of JGL. I would stick with 2 viewings and maybe rewatch later in the future...

Who is JGL?

There are many movies I would rewatch, but I don't think Inception is a rewatchable kind of movie, unless of course you're rewatching it many years later when you've forgotten most of the storyline, lol. Still, it doesn't take away from the fact that it's a really good movie :)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Arthur! :D ♥

Oh! :DDD The thing that struck me about him was that he looks like a young, skinnier version of Heath Ledger.

Well, less-blond too!

Just, so pretty (http://i30.tinypic.com/2v0bziw.jpg), man.

I'm not sure 'pretty' is the word I would use for him, but 'debonair', oh yes. *__*

that's possible - i'm sure i'll watch it a third time, though. actually i got quite invested in dom's story, so i think i would be able to enjoy it over many viewings. i tend to watch movies for lots of different reasons each time.
